Neither of them seemed to notice me and for once, that was good. I just had to think about how I was going to do this. I had my love's sword on me. I looked at the purple gem in the pommel and I felt happiness bloom in my chest. He wouldn't need it anymore.
"So, we're all here, but Vio isn't?" Red asked the other two.
"Honestly, it's great that the three of you are together so quickly, if we find Vio right away then that would be...pretty suspicious." That stupid, cursed ball of light they call a fairy floated around their heads. "Especially considering there's been no sign of him at all."
"But, that's pretty concerning," Red said. "Where is Vio?"
Green spoke up. "I'm sure he's fine."
Blue started speaking and I rolled my eyes. "What if Shadow Link gets to him before us and kills him or something?"
"Blue!" Red cried out, worried.
"I'm just saying, it's possible, it's not like I'm not worried about him, Red."
"Vio can fight Shadow Link, he'll figure something out." Green sighed and I bristled a bit. "We'll find him--"
I stopped him before he could finish, I didn't remember when I was standing behind Green, but I knew that if they found him, they'd take him away from me, Vio would go with them, I needed him, no one would take him away. "No, you won't."
Before any of them could react, I thrusted the sword into Green's stomach. I saw Blue and Red's eyes widen. I twisted the blade, like I said I would, but it wasn't enough, I needed to seriously fuck some people up. I stabbed him, again, and again, and again, until he fell on the ground and I stabbed him again and again and again, not just in the stomach but in the chest, the head, his legs and arms, I watched all the blood seep out of him, not satisfied until I felt like his veins would be totally dry.
I realized that I took too much time with Green and the other two had started running away. I tried to chase after them, but my foot caught on something.
Green's hand had somehow let go of his blade--which lay shattered on the ground for some reason--and was wrapped tightly around my ankle. There was barely any chance he was still alive and even less of one that he was still conscious, but I kicked him just to be sure. He made a noise--maybe he was still alive and that was a groan, or maybe his lungs were relasing the last bit of air they had in them, I didn't know. I used Vio's sword to hack off Green's hand at the wrist and then took off after the other two.
When Blue decided I was too close, he shoved Red and drew his sword, turning to face me. Red stopped running, though.
He drew his sword and glared at me.
"Blue!" Red shouted.
I scoffed. "You're lucky I can't kill you."
He charged at me, but I over powered him easily and in minutes, he had fallen on the ground. Red stared in horror. I moved closer to him, the sword in my hand gleaming with his leader's blood.
Red's eyes darted to Blue, on the ground, sword fallen out of his hands next to a hammer. I could tell he was considering grabbing one, probably trying to get his hands on a melee weapon, because with the distance between us, the fire rod would be more harm than good. Sure, it'd stop me, but I could always be revived. He on the other hand, couldn't.
I grabbed Blue's hammer and twirled it in my hands dropping Vio's sword. Honestly, if it could just stay there, to rust and slowly be destroyed while Green and Red's bodies decayed, that'd be great. Vio wouldn't ever see it again.
