I think Briar tried to ask me something and I think it was important, but I couldn't hear her all of a sudden, and I didn't turn to ace her because my gaze was focused on the dirk on the blood covered ground--which wasn't going o dry apparently. All around was darkness but the blade seemed to glow.

Before I knew it, I was walking towards it and kneeling to pick it up, but the moment my hand wrapped around the blae, Green and Red appeared literally out of nowhere, the latter being sure to hug me and apologize, speaking a mile a minute.

"I'm so sorry, I woke up and wandered off, and you were still asleep, and I left my Fire Rod, at least you found it!"

I handed it over to him and he squealed like a teenage girl watching her OTP kiss, that was how much Red loved that Fire Rod.

I smiled; it really was a good thing I gave it to Red, I realized. There was just some odd feeling I got that the thing belonged in his hands the entire time, besides I knew he'd use it for good or whatever.

I felt Vio grab my hand while Green and Red asked about Briar. He pulled me closer to him and just...stood there next to me holding my hand. It felt nice though; being next to him, being with him, I was less desperate and needy, it was more of a loving way that made me feel closer to him than I would clinging to him.

"You have blood on your cheek," he pointed out, his voice monotone.

I reached a hand up and el dried blood. After a while, the others were still talking, I noticed he was shaking and couldn't meet my eyes.

"Vio?"

"He wouldn't ever do something like that," he whispered, hair falling in front of his eyes.

"Are you okay?"

His hand shot out and gripped my tunic, pulling me closer to him forcefully.

"Vio?"

Why wasn' t any of the others noticing?

"Say you wouldn't ever do something like that, Shadow," he said. "Please."

"Do wh--"

"Just say you wouldn't...please..."

His eyes were panicked and scared and...they didn't feel like his.

"I wouldn't do something like that."

He let go of my tunic and I fell on the floor. He looked down at me, as if just processing I had fallen, but not realizing he was the reason why.

"Why are you on the floor?" he asked. I looked at him dumbfounded.

"You guys!" Green shouted. "We found something."

He helped me to my feet, staring at me suspiciously and oddly with eyes that didn't belong in his sockets and we walked over.

They had found a giant hole in the ground that we hadn't seen, and it was a miracle none of us fell in.

"Wha's down there?" I asked.

"We're going to find out."
