Tears stream down my face, in sadness and frustration. "How the fuck could I do that?" I say in a shaky voice. I stand up, as Louis glances at me. "It was a no-win situation, Clem," Louis explains to me. I reply with "Louis, I didn't even put up a damn fight! God, I don't know what happened."
He frowns, as he wraps his arms around my shoulder. "We can find them," he explains to me.
"How? How in the living fuck are we supposed to find them?" I say in a fit of rage. "The man who was with Lily. He mentioned they were scouting out at the old city hall," Louis says. I answer back with "Well where is the old city hall?"
He shrugs his shoulders, and says "We'll have to search for it."
Tears start to form in my eyes once again, as I fall to the ground. "This is all my damn fault," I tell myself and Louis. Louis sits next to me, as he puts me in his arms. He hugs me tight, as a cozy tingle goes through my body.
Then, a snowflake falls onto my nose. A cold chill goes through the air, as goosebumps crawl down my neck. A minute after, a huge wave of snow ploughs through the sky. "Quick, get inside the house, Louis!" I tell him. We run into the house, as our fingers feel numb. I slam the door shut, and sit down on the coach. Louis sits next to me, as I ask "What the hell do we do now?" He lets out a sigh and says "We have to look for them. The longer we take, the further they get." I give Louis a shocked look, and say "We can't look for them in a snowstorm! We wouldn't be able to see anything!" Louis replies with "Clem, we can't leave AJ and Tenn with those evil people! We have to find them. We have to at least try."
Anger overcomes me, as my hand becomes a fist. I punch the wall and say "God dammit, Louis! We'd fucking freeze to death before we would find them! We can't save them if we're dead!"
Louis stands up and rolls his eyes. "Fine, you stay here and I find them. If you don't wanna do it, then I will," he says. "Louis you can't go out there, without a damn plan. Come back here, and we'll figure it out together," I tell him. He takes a step back from the door, as he sits down.
A couple minutes later, Louis and I form a plan. Our thought was that we equip weapons, and we find the old city hall. We find AJ and Tenn, and hopefully, make it out alive. The only issue is, we have no clue where the city hall is. We'll have to find it, in a blizzard.
I grab my backpack, which holds food, water, and my knife. Louis and I step outside, as snow scatters everywhere. "Hold my hand," I say to Louis. He grasps onto my hand, as I say "don't let go." He tightly holds on, as my fingers soon become numb. I shield my eyes from the blizzard, as snow endlessly heads towards us. I look around and see white everywhere. "It's practically impossible to find the city hall," I mutter to myself.
Ten minutes later, I hear Louis shiver. I see him look pale, as he attempts to keep himself warm.
I walk backwards, keeping an eye on him. Suddenly, I trip over a rock covered in snow and thump to the ground. I reach for my rib cage, which feels like a fiery pit of hell. "Clem, are you okay?" Louis asks in concern. I respond with "Not really. Can you help me up?" He reaches for my arm, as he helps me get onto my feet. I see blood dripping out of my rib, as I feel uneasy. My head thumps, as the snow continues to violently swarm through the air.
"Fuck," I say as I look at my hands. "We gotta keep moving Clem. Need me to carry you?" Louis asks. I reply with "We need to find AJ and Tenn, then I'll be fine."
It feels like hours of seeing completely nothing. Just as we gave up hope, we found it. We somehow found the city hall. "Holy shit, Louis. We found it. We can save AJ and Tenn now!" Louis glances at my rib, then at me. "Clem, you can't attack Lily and her people right now. You're injured." I give Louis a dirty look and say "I can't wait now! Not when I'm this close." I run towards the city hall, as Louis screams "Clem, wait!"
I arrive at the doors of the city hall, not prepared for what will happen next.
We can only escape alive. I will do anything to protect AJ, Tenn, and Louis. They're the only family I have left. I'm willing to sacrifice myself, to keep them alive.( Sorry it took me nearly a month to continue the story! I've been dealing with a lot of shit. Family issues, school work, soccer, and more. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed that chapter. It's 3:35 AM here, and I think I'm going to grab a snack. Hopefully, I'll update the next chapter sooner than last time. Stay tuned!)
