~Two Suffering Souls~ [Clouis Fan Fiction]

Chapter 22

I attempt to open the door, as Louis grabs my hand. I look back as he says "We can't go in there without a plan!" I nod my head and say, "We already discussed it though. We sneak around, and try and find AJ and Tenn." Louis gives me a worried look, as I tell him "We'll be fine. I'll make sure of it."
Honestly, I had no clue if we would be okay. I didn't know if we would make it out alive.

Louis and I enter the building, with our weapons in our hand. I hold my knife in my right hand, ready for anything. I hear screaming coming from upstairs. "That's gotta be AJ," I mutter to myself. I signal Louis to come up the stairs with me, hoping no one would notice us.

As we get closer to AJ, I hear him banging his fists against the door. I attempt to make a dash to AJ's room but stop in my tracks. Someone was standing in front of his room. My heart skips a beat, as the man says "You made a mistake coming here." He grabs his gun and attempts to shoot at me. I duck and clutch onto my knife. I push myself up, and sprint at him.

I yell at Louis to go into the room, as I fight the man off. "Get AJ!" I say to him. Louis runs into the room and shuts the door behind him. The man tries to shoot me again, as I stab him in the skull. Blood pours out of his head, as he falls to the ground. I kick him out of my way and enter the room.

I see AJ and hug him tightly. "Don't leave me like that again, " AJ says to me. A tear slips from my eye as I say "I promise." Louis looks around the room and says "We found AJ. Where is Tenn?" AJ says "I don't know. We were separated. I think he's a couple room down the hall." Louis and I look at each other, as he says "Then we should get moving. The sooner we're out of here, the better."

The three of us check the rooms, being careful not to make too much noise. We go into the last room, hoping to find Tenn. We carefully open the door, then feel disgusted. I feel the need to puke, as the three of us see Tenn dead on the ground. AJ runs over to Tenn, as he cries. Louis shakes his head, as he looks away. "How could they kill him?" AJ asks me, with sadness. I stand there speechless, as I stair at Tenn. A bullet put through his head.

"Was he bit?" I ask AJ. He checks Tenn for any bite marks but doesn't find any. "They killed the poor kid in cold blood," I say to myself. Louis looks at me and says "I feel like I'm going to be sick. I knew Tenn for so long. I can't believe he's really gone." I respond with "Let's just get out of here. I want to make it out alive."

"We gotta go, AJ," I say to him. He looks at me and screams "No!" I shake my head and say "We can't grief right now, AJ. We need to make it out of here alive!" He glances at me and says "He was my best friend. Just leave me alone."

Suddenly, we hear someone walking down the hall. Lily bursts through the door, as she holds her gun and points it at me. I hold my knife, protecting Louis and AJ. Lily lowers her gun, then starts to laugh. "You actually came back for them? How stupid are you?" Lily says in a snotty voice. I look at Tenn and say "How the fuck could you kill a kid? You just killed him in cold blood!"

Lily looks at Tenn's corpse and shakes her head. "He tried to run away. We had to kill him, he didn't leave us a choice." AJ reaches for his gun, as Louis grabs his hand. "Don't," he mutters to AJ.

"Fuck you," I say to Lily. I sprint at her, with my knife in my hand. She drops her gun, as she grabs my hands. "Run!" I say to Louis and AJ. Lily throws me on my ground, as she reaches for her gun. I kick it out of her reach, as she then attempts to punch me. I get up, as I sprint out of the room.

Louis and AJ already made it out of the building, as they were continuing to run. I catch up to them and say "Don't look back. Just keep running."  Then, gunshots start to rain in our direction. One hits me in the chest, as I fall to the ground. Louis looks back and screams "Clementine!"

I put pressure on my wound, as blood covers my hand and shirt. Louis comes back, with worry written across his face. "You're going to be fine!" Louis says to me, as he grabs my hand. I look at the blood on my shirt and say "Louis, you know I'm not going to be fine. You have to leave me behind." Tears start to form in his eyes. "I-I can carry you! Don't worry!" He tries to pick me up, but I scream in pain. "Louis, take care of AJ for me. Please."  Louis starts to cry as he replies with "Clem no! I-I love you too much to leave you behind!"

I take off my hat and hold it in my hand. "I'll always be with you, if you take my hat," I say to Louis. He cries, as he shakily takes my hat. "I love you so much, Clementine. I am so thankful you came into my life," he says as he wraps his arms around me. "I love you too, Louis."

Louis gets up, as he sees Lily making her way towards them. "I love you," he says as he turns away and runs with AJ.
I cry, as Lily then approaches me. "Looks like I hit you, doesn't it?" Lily asks. "No shit," I say to her. She grabs her gun and points it at my head. "Well, you're going to die anyway. Might as well just end you."

I take a deep breath in and think of Louis. I think of how lucky I am, to of met him. I remember how happy he made me feel. I smile, having Louis as my last memory, as the final trigger goes off.

(Hopefully, you liked that chapter. I'm planning on doing another chapter, with a happier ending. I sort of wanted a multiple ending. Let me know what you think!
