CAT'S POV:
Dinner seems to have gone well as everyone has cleaned off their plates and Jake is just showering me with compliments as well as Jake's parents.
Now I am busy handing out desserts and then Jake randomly says ,
"Mom, Dad when is Mike coming back from holiday camp?" Mike I've never heard of a Mike before so I ask ,
" Sorry ,but who's Mike ?"
Jake replies, "He's my kid brother." he says with a worried look I don't know why , I literally love kid siblings and have always wanted one . so I reply ,
" Oh My Word, you have a kid brother.Why didn't you tell me ,I love children , how old is he?"
Jake replies looking shocked ," He is 7 years old, you're not irritated that I have a younger brother?" Well that's a weird question why would he think that so I reply ," Umm why would I be irritated?"
He replies ," It's just my ex-girlfriend never liked me having a kid brother, I guess they thought of him as a distraction."
"Well , I love children. I always wanted a younger sibling."
Then I keep quiet as I see that Jake's mom is still trying to answer his question from 10 minutes ago and she says,
" Well to answer your question Jake, Mike Is coming back tomorrow morning."
I have a brilliant idea and before Jake can say anything I blurt out,
"Maybe we should have a welcome back party on the beach before Jake and I start taping the movie?"
I see in the corner of my eye Jake grinning at me with this huge grin and his parents agree to my idea saying that it would be great . At least I am getting something right in my life for once.
