Chapter 3: Our Meal. YUM!

JAKE’S POV:

 The burgers were really good but it was funny to watch Cat eat a burger. When she started eating she just dug in, not usually how a girl eats a burger, but after she saw me staring at her, she started just picking at her burger.

 I can’t believe how Cat can look so beautiful with ten minutes to find clothes. Cat has natural beauty where she doesn’t have to wear make-up to look gorgeous, other than every other girl I have ever seen, even with Cat having a black eye.

 Cat and I have just finished our burgers but now we are both full and can’t eat our chips and I just had a crazy idea.

 So I just casually flick a chip at Cat, whistle and say, “Whoops!” sarcastically and Cat replies, “Oh no, you didn’t!” playfully and flicks two chips at me. This is getting FUN!

I grab half a handful of chips and throw them at Cat and a little, cute, snort comes out and she grabs a handful of chips and throws them at me. THIS IS GREAT! I throw the exact same amount at her and hit her on the nose, I scream, “Bulls eye!” and she screams, “It’s on!” She gets up with two handfuls of chips and runs around the table, I get off my seat and try to run away but I slip on some chips on the floor and fall on the ground. Cat comes running, being careful not to slip, comes right up to me and throws one handful at me but then I trip her and she falls onto my side , she’s very light, she faces me and throws a handful of chips right in my face, one actually goes into my mouth , it tastes GOOD!

 I feel weird when I stare into Cat’s green eyes, there is a lock of hair on her face and for some reason I pull it to the back of her ear and next thing I knew Cat and I are kissing.

But what felt too soon the kiss ends and I am like wow she does have feelings for me!

 CAT’S POV:

 Jake and I just kissed. It wasn’t a long kiss but it was a proper kiss. We obviously have feelings for each other.

 The clean up was weird, we cleaned up silently probably embarrassed about it and we were also alone in this huge house. I said goodnight and asked Jake where I could leave my laundry and he said I could put it in the laundry basket. So I put my clothes in the basket, (But not my underwear because if he opens the laundry basket I don’t want him to see my underwear.)

 I lie in bed now wanting to go to sleep but I can’t stop thinking about Jake.

I can’t stop thinking without Jake I would be on the streets without a meal……….

I would be hopeless without food in my stomach, a food fight and I wouldn’t have kissed Jake…

How will I ever get over Jake’s kiss and it wasn’t for long either but it was a kiss we weren’t expecting but even though it wasn’t long, I could see that he feels something for me.

It was awkward after that. I think we were shocked it actually happened but now it will be harder to explain to his parents. I wonder how they are going to react.

 That I think is the only fear Jake and I have but there is a little more time before that.

 So I wonder what will be the reaction from our chemistry tonight, I hope nothing has changed between us and we still have feelings for each other.
