Chapter 2: Cat's Story

JAKE'S POV:

I finally get Cat to tell me her story but now I wish she hadn't because now I want to kill someone.

 Her mom died a long time ago when Cat was small and let's says her dad is not the best guy in the world but he isn't the one who abused Cat.Cat's dad remarried another woman who has an evil child named Drake. He is twenty one and has been in prison before. He is the one who hurt her and the reason Cat has a black eye is because she fought back when Drake, well, tried to kill her. Cat shrieked and her dad took Drake away but Drake's mother convinced him and he kicked Cat out as if it was HER FAULT.

Cat's in the bathroom but I need to ask if she is a vegetarian because I want to order something to eat for the both of us, I guess she would be hungry. With her dad only giving her ten minutes to pack her clothes and didn't give her any money. I wonder why she is taking so long for her to pee.

I go upstairs so when I shout she can hear me and then I see her, only in a towel going to her room. WOW, she is even more beautiful because in the light you can see that her black eye is healing nicely and also her black hair on her tanned skin gave an elegant effect. She sees me staring; I turn around ,

"Oh sorry, just wanted to know if you are a vegetarian or not because I wanted to get us some, um, burgers." I say quite embarrassed.

 Cat replies giggling, "Oh, no, I eat anything; I'm not picky, chicken, beef, anything edible."

 At least mom and dad left me much more money than I needed so I can provide for both of us with food and have lots left for anything else because I think she might need clothes by the size of her duffel bag. I planned to buy her some tomorrow as a gift but the one big problem (besides trying to buy clothes for a girl) is that I don't know Cat's size. I'll sneak into her room later and check.

I wish I could ask her out , she wasn't even scared of my dogs, (Bull terriers) but they love her just as much as she loves them, it's amazing. Most girls would have squirmed if a dog tried to lick them but Cat sat on the ground and welcomed the dogs to go nuts. It was hard to get her away from the dogs but I finally did.

I wish I knew if she felt the same way, but its just the wrong time to tell.

CAT'S POV:

Oh My Word! I knew trying to pass the hall in just a towel was a huge risk. Now Jake's almost seen me naked because my towel was slipping, so ya. It was sweet though that he actually thought to ask if I was a vegetarian or not.

Jake is very understanding. Especially with my whole circumstances, he even wanted to kill Drake. I almost let him. I knew Jake could probably beat the hell out of Drake because he has a black belt in Karate but my dad's also there so bad idea.

It's hard trying to find something to wear when you have so little.

Oh My Word! Jake's build makes sense now because he does karate. I wish I could hug him again but I think it would just be awkward now especially because he has seen me in just a towel. I think I'm too messed up for him anyway; maybe he's just being so caring right now because he feels pity on me.

I finally settle on skinny jeans and a pretty vest, it works. Thanks goodness, I remembered to pack a brush so I brush through my hair and brush my teeth with some toothpaste on my finger (I need to remember to buy a toothbrush).

During all this I can't help but think how cool, cute, sweet, smart, caring and understanding Jake is and not to mention he is fit.

I think I like this boy, you know what they say:

'Don't believe a word a boy says unless he's cute.'

Jake's very cute. I wish I could know if Jake has any feelings for me but it's very hard to know.

Anyway Jake got to ask me questions first but now it's my turn to ask I hear Jake , "Foods here!"

"Coming!" as I put my other sneaker on. Finally time to eat. YUM!!!
