Just a lil bit of fluff for y'all :DD

Jack explained everything while I just looked at him with my eyes popping out of my head.

"The more Skills I use at once, the more tired I become."

"Damn, Avery. That's fantastic. Now I can't beat you when we fight anymore...." I pout at the end of my sentence."It's not like you really did much before", he says cockily. I raise my eyebrows at him in disbelief.

"I'm sorry, did I hear that right? Who whooped your ass the first day of school, huh Avery?" I can't believe this kid. I just can't.

I smirk once I see the faint pink on his cheeks and laugh, booping his nose.

"You're cute."

"You're adorable."

"You're sweet."

"You're soft."

"You're - what are we doing?" Our foreheads touching(I wonder how, Avery), and our noses brush lightly against each other. My hand's on his knee while his is on my back and tens of hundreds of butterflies flutter around in my stomach.

"We shouldn't be doing this." I whisper. It feels like I'm about to burst open and cave in at the same time.

"Why not?"

"Gabbie might kill me, y'know." Jack snorts and I place my head on his shoulder, trying to remember this moment as much as I can, 'cause life is actually being kinda nice to me right now.

"S'okay. I won't let her touch you." He buries his nose in my hair and wraps an arm around me while I sigh contentedly.

"Oh, so you're my Prince Charming now? I don't remember asking for job applications." He huffs a little, his warm breath tickling against my ear.

"You're so sarcastic."

"But you know you love it."

"Are you sure you don't have telepathy?"

"Well, Avery, not everyone can be as powerful as you." I sass.

"Did I mention that you're adorable?"

"Yeah you did. You can keep reminding me though. I wouldn't mind." It's silent for a little bit but it's comfortable silence. The kind you get when it's sunrise and you're the only one up.

You can kiss me, y'know? Jack's voice echoes inside my head and I laugh out loud at his statement.

"Avery, don't ruin the moment." As if on cue, my phone buzzes. I don't even have to check to know it's my mom.

"I gotta go. See you tomorrow?" He nods and just as I'm about to stand up, he pulls me back down.

"Jack, wh- " I freeze suddenly as he places his lips on my cheek, his lips lingering for a quick second. I realize my eyes are closed and I open them again, but he's gone.

I wanna yell at him but it doesn't matter.

I still have a stupid, idiotic grin on my face. 

Sorry I haven't updated.....it's like i'm drowning in hw and school is just ew.

Anyway, my friend is gonna be collabing with me on this and i don't even know her wattpad account. I just have a google doc with the story and we work on it there -_-
