Next day

"Corbyn!" I whisper-shout at Corbyn's sleeping figure and let myself grin when he falls out of his bed.

"Jesus Zach! Least you coulda done was knock! And how the hell did you get in here? Who gave you permission to come in my room? You could've given me a heart attack - "

"You're not that old...." I mumble.

" - and what if I'd accidentally frozen you? What if my other side took over? What if Christina was here and - "

"It's not like either of you would be dumb enough to do it......" I say quietly, and Corbyn just chuckles.

"So there's gotta be a reason why you woke me up....care to share?" I take a deep breath to steady myself, and begin.

5 minutes later....(if u get the reference i'll love u forever)

"He did what?!"

"I-I said it once, 'm not gonna say it again...." I huff and cross my arms over my chest.

"Dang, my ship is sailing." Corbyn ducks before the pillow I throw has a chance to hit his head.

"Corbyn, help me please....." I plead. I am sooo close to getting on my knees and begging. Maybe he can see the desperation in my eyes because he stops teasing and hugs me.

"Zach, he'll make a move first, okay? Don't worry, you got the three stooges." I chuckle a bit and mumble a thank you into his shirt. We stay like that until there's a knock on Corbyn's door, and I shadow travel back to my place.

Time skip cause I'm lazieeee

"So Jack just kissed him on the cheek." Dani says for the hundredth time in disbelief.

"Even though you're adorable and I can't get mad at you, YES, he kissed him on the cheek, Dani." Jonah rolls his eyes while I blush and look at the ground.

"Like Corbs said, don't worry 'bout it." He ruffles my hair and I pout.

"I spent fifteen minutes on that....."

"Well, sorry if I just ruined your attempts on seducing Jack." I glare at him and suddenly get an idea. He's not gonna like it, but who cares?

I focus on the ground under Jonah's feet and make a portal. He falls through, and that's the last we hear from Jonah.

"Bro, what'd you do with him?"

"Just sent him to the shadow world for a bit....don't worry, I'll get him back when we reach school," I grin. "Then you guys can make out and stuff."

Dani's just about to speak when I hear a certain voice in my head.

Hey Zachy.

"Get outta my head." I whine.

Also, if you wanna reply just think your thoughts and push 'em towards me.

Stop doing this....... I mentally whine.

Awww, it's okay Zachy.

You can call me Jacky if it makes you feel any better.

"Zach.....ZACH! Are you good bro? Your face is super red." Corbyn looks at me weird.

Don't tell them I can mimic.

"Yeah, everything's fine. Just hot."

"Oh, cause of me? I get it." Dani jokes. I just roll my eyes and laugh a bit.

Jack, I'm kinda worried about what Gabbie's gonna do....

Don't worry, I said I'd protect you, remember?

Yeah, but I think she's gonna go for you.....I'm getting this weird feeling that she knows you can mimic. I can't really explain the feeling to him, I guess it's more of instinct.

Yeah, but her trick doesn't work on me, remember?

Jack, I - I don't know. Just don't do anything stupid around her, okay? Promise me?

I promise.

I could disagree, but thanks, Jack. I gotta go, Dani's looking at me like I just killed his puppy.

Haha, okay then. See you at school.

I clear my thoughts with a little shake of my head and see that we're already at school. Daniel shoots me a look and I just chuckle at his dependence on Jonah. I open the portal and Jonah steps out, looking extremely pissed. What can I say? He brought this upon himself.

"Don't mess my hair up or tease me about Jack again." I say threateningly.

"What's wrong with that?" I freeze as I hear his voice. Fighting the urge to turn around, I stay rock-still as he approaches.

"N-nothing." Dammit, I hate myself for stuttering. Jonah coos and I shoot him a death glare.

"Well, do you wanna go to the fair with me on Sunday? It's open until - " Jack gets cut off by a high-pitched, super-annoying voice.

"Ew! Why are you even asking him? He's such a freak! I'll go with you instead." Gabbie says loud enough for us to hear. I swear she is so annoying, and the skirt she's wearing right now might as well be nonexistent like her IQ.

Please don't say yes......I think to myself. Jack turns his head to look at me, his stone-hard expression softening just a little bit.

"No thanks, Gabbie." He says firmly.

"You would rather go with that fag than me? C'mon baby - "

"No. The only reason why you would ever go out with someone is to get them drunk enough to have sex with you. So no. I'm good." As Gabbie reaches her hand back to slap him, Dani sends her flying in the air and winks at me.

Well, that's her taken care of.

"Zach? D'you wanna go to the fair with me?" I look at him and roll my eyes.

"What do you think?" At this sentence Jack lowers his head and looks doubtful.

"Oh....it's okay if you don't wanna go, I just wanted to know if you would like to go on a - I mean, if you wanted to hang, but clearly you don't so I think I'll just - "

"Of course I'll go!" I exclaim, and wrap my arms around him in a hug.

What an idiot..... I send the thought to Jack. He just blushes a bit before wrapping an arm around my waist. When I turn around to look at the guys, I see they're all making kissy faces.

Maybe, just this once, I can let myself hope.

Maybe. 

Couple more chapters and you guys are gonna be coming for my throat.....I'm scared....
