Fletch eventually sat down at around 9.30 after he'd sorted the Fletchlings out.
He pulled out his phone and took a swig of his bottle of beer. Did that really happen today? Although it was absolutely what he wanted, embarking on a relationship with Jac Naylor was scary. He knew that there were previous partners he would be compared to and issues in her past that made her who she was. It was unusual to go into a relationship with someone already knowing everything about their past. They knew each other so well. Spending so many hours chatting
He texted Jac first to make sure she was awake. He was ridiculously nervous about speaking to her, part of him hoping she was asleep
Still up.looking forward to hearing your voice J x
Right then
Hi Jac it's me
She laughed I know
I'm a bit nervous he chuckled which is weird because I generally have the gift of the gab don't I?
You do but things have changed she paused for the better I hope
Maybe she was nervous too he mused absolutely for the better he confirmed
Where do you stand on this being public knowledge Fletch?
Well I think that's your call because I would happily shout it from the rooftops but I know that not you. Keeping it as our little secret is quite exciting. Feels a bit sordid, a bit naughty
Jac felt herself getting hot and bothered by Fletch using words such as sordid and naughty
You really do know me so well don't you. I'm not ashamed of us or anything I just need a little time
Hey that's absolutely fine he heard her stifle a yawn it sounds like you need your beauty sleep sweetheart he said with heartbreaking tenderness
Mmm I think you're right she said stifling another yawn
God sleepy Jac was insanely sexy
Ok my darling I'll see you tomorrow
Uhhum came her reply and he hung up
He caught himself smiling at his phone. For fucksake Fletcher. Shaking his head he went to bed.
Lying there he re ran the events of the day in his head. Wow I mean just wow. He did cringe when he told her she had the rest of her life to get used to him calling her sweetheart but in fairness he meant it. He could not  imagine a life without her so he guessed that meant staying together for the rest of their lives. She hadn't commented - maybe she didn't notice or maybe, just maybe she felt the same.
