Sacha came with Emma after school to pick Jac up
"Fletch promised you would get better soon Mummy and now you're coming home. Yay" Emma jumped up and down on the spot. Jac smiled at her daughter
"You might have to help Sacha and Fletch look after me for a little while baby, just until I'm all better. But I am well enough to come home"
"I'll help you mummy and I'll be a good girl promise"
"No more hitting children at school?"
"Oh no. We're best friends now"
Jac rolled her eyes. How did Fletch cope with four. He's amazing with kids she thought. Bloody hell Naylor focus.
They got home soon after. Although she didn't want to admit it, Jac was exhausted. Emma went to bed without protest obviously trying to be a good girl. Jac assumed that the novelty would quickly wear off.
"I think I'm going to hit the sack too Sacha, especially if I need to get Emma to school"
"Oh no that's covered hun. I'm in early but Fletch is going to come by and make sure she's up and ready and then he's going to drop her at school."
"Thank you" she said gratefully "I don't know what I'd have done without you both"
"You would do the same for us hun"
Jac nodded , he was right she would do anything to protect and look after Sacha and Fletch.
Being back in her own bed was nice but strange. She unlocked her phone
Just wanted to say goodnight and see you in the morning
Jx
Almost immediately Fletch texted back
Goodnight Naylor. See you in the morning. Love F x
She settled down to sleep with a smile on her face
It seemed like she'd only been asleep for two minutes when the alarm went off. She resisted the urge to hit the snooze button and got up. Going into Emma's room she found her daughter up and trying to do the buttons on her school shirt
"Here let mummy help darling" Jac said sitting on the bed with Emma in front of her
"Have you brushed your teeth?"
Emma rolled her eyes
"Well of course I have mummy" said Emma exasperated that her mother wound think she wouldn't do that
They both turned to the door when they heard a familiar chuckle
"Definitely mini Naylor" said Fletch
"Fletch" Emma said excitedly "uncle Sacha says you're taking me to school today"
"Well Uncle Sacha is right. Your carriage awaits downstairs princess. Just as soon as you've had some breakfast. Why don't you run down and pour some juice out and I'll be down in a minute"
Emma skipped off
"Hi" he said sitting down next to Jac on the bed and kissing her briefly on her lips
"Hi" she replied "how did you get in?"
"Oh right yes. Sacha got me a key cut whilst you were ill in case I needed to get stuff for you or Emma whilst you were in hospital. I wasn't sure if you'd be awake yet this morning so I didn't want to ring the bell. Here" he said fishing the key out of his pocket "now you're home I don't need it"
Jac placed her hand over his and looked into his eyes "keep it"
"Um ok. Until you're back to normal?"
"Fletch just keep it ok" she spoke softly and squeezed his hand. He pulled her into a hug. Looking over her shoulder he spotted the photo of him. Jac and Emma
"Nice photo" he said eventually letting her go
Jac blushed.
"Frieda sent it to me - winding me up about 'us' before 'us' was a thing. Emma saw it and pestered and pestered to have a copy for her picture frame. Sorry" she cringed
"Why are you sorry? I love it"
Jac breathed a sigh of relief "me too"
"Fletch" came a shout from downstairs "can I have Rice Krispies please"
"Coming your highness" he replied taking Jac's hand and leading her down stairs
