Get the fuckin doctor in here; my baby is sick."Dave yelled while holding his daughter

Sir, you can't just demand the doctor there are people...

Nurse Nancy, what's going on out here?,"A woman came out

This man is demanding to see you, Dr. Washington."The nurse said

Sir, what's going on?."She asked

My baby isn't breathing. I don't know what's wrong," He said

I need the crash cart, start an IV for me as well,"The doctor said

EMTs brought the stretchers out and laid his daughter on there as Dr. Washington began her work

You gonna be alright, baby," I whispered to her. Dave couldn't go into the room while they tried to save his daughter so he stood outside watching and praying that she pulled through.

When I wanted to sit down, I stood up when I wanted to stand up, I sat down. I can't lose my little angel. Dave finally sat in the chair and nodded off.

I was finishing up my rounds for the night when I heard Nurse Nancy arguing with a guy. I went to the front of the hospital to see what was going on.

My baby isn't breathing I don't know what's wrong," He said

EMTs brought the stretchers out and laid his daughter on there as I began my work

-2 hours later-
Dr. Keisha Washington:

Mr. East?."Someone shook him

Man, what the fuck," He said in his sleepy voice

I'm sorry to disturb you, but my name is Dr. Washington I took care of your daughter,"They shook hands

Oh, my bad! Dr... Keisha?."He said shocked

Dave?," I said

So um.. how's my baby?"He asked nervously

She's going to be okay, but she has a severe peanut allergy. You should leave her here for a few days and keep all peanut products away from her," She explained

Okay, thank you," Dave said

Do you cook for her with peanut oil?,"I took some notes

I do," He said

You'll need to change that. Any peanut products she cannot have. Here are her prescriptions for an EPI pen. If she comes in contact with peanut products just stick this in her inner thigh."She hands me the papers

Thanks, Keisha.. I mean, Dr. Washington, can I go see her?." He asked

Of course, come with me, "We walked down the hallway and took him into the room with his daughter.

Daddy?." His daughter yawned

I'm here, bean,"He rubbed her chubby cheeks

Dave was always a family person and constantly stuck by his father's words that "if you aren't willing to lay down your life for your family, you aren't a real man". We dated in high school and for a few months during my freshmen year at Penn State. The distance got between us, and we just couldn't do it anymore. I'd instead he leave than cheat. Dave and I tried to be just friends but being just friends with someone you are in love with is hard as shit.

Dr. Washington, thank you so much."He hugged her

No problem, um, I have to go make my rounds here is my personal number if you need anything; just call me,"I left the room.

Three days later.
Hey, juju bee."Dr. Washington smiled

What up, Doc?," She said, mimicking bugs bunny

You all ready to go home?,"I asked her

Ready, Freddy," Harmony said

Dave was out at a show, and as much as he wanted to he couldn't get out of it so he asked me to babysit until he came home.

Following the GPS, it takes us straight to his house. I have to admit I wanted to buy a house but I want to wait for the right time.

Come on juju," We walked into the house

Wow."Keisha said in amazement

My dad got it for us. Can I go play in my room?,"Harmony asked

Of course, do you want me to play with you?."She asked

Yay! We can have tea Ms. Nippy," She pulled her

Harmony and Keisha played all day long. Keisha made sure Harmony ate and showered. At 9:15 Harmony was sound asleep, but still, Dave wasn't home. I made myself comfortable on the couch and started watching Love & Hip Hop Hollywood.

Thanks, man," I slid the cab driver a 20

I had a gig at the time I was supposed to pick up my daughter, but luckily Keish looked out. I unlocked the front door and walked in

Dr. Washington?," Dave called as he walked in

When I got to the living room, I saw Keisha sleeping on the couch.

Keisha?." He shook her

Mmm?," She groans

I'm back now." I replied

Keisha got up and grabbed her belongings. She was heading for the door when Dave stopped her.

What?." She looked confused

It's late, and you're tired; why don't you crash here for tonight?." I asked

I can't, Dave, but I'll see you around." Keisha kisses his cheek and leave
