From Ash to Gold (Sweet Pea x Reader )

Chapter. 7

   "What did you want to talk about?."

     I slowly walk in and close the door behind me. He watches my every step. I walk over to a chair in front of his bed and point if I can sit in it.  He knods his head yes and sits up, facing me.

     " Well, actually. I didn't come over to talk; I'm actually here because I just wanted to see you."

      He gives me this weird surprised look and scoots to the end of the bed,  directly in front of me. "You just wanted to see me? Why? I thought you hate me. I mean, we haven't been exactly friends, and we're always arguing about something. So why are you really here?."

     "Honestly,  I do want to punch you in the face and strangle you most of the time, but there's also a part of me that enjoys you firing back at me. I love how you don't back down, you say what you have to say and put your input in everything.  I can't get enough of it."

     He tilts his head up and laughs. I just have this look on my face like what the hell? He looks at me and then grabs the chair arms and pulls me towards him. I'm so close to his face, my nose is lightly touching his. Then, the unexpected happens. HE KISSES ME! Shock is running through my whole body, I just feeeze. My lips weren't frozen because I was kissing back. He pulls away and says, " Do you know how long I've been wanting to do that?." Shock was still plastered on my face, then something in my head yelled BAG. " Wow, I had no idea." Reggie smiles and knods his head. "Hey, do you have anything to drink?." I need to find that bag and get the hell out before something else happens. "Yeah. Tea alright?." Mhm I hum. Reggie leaves the room and I'm up searching for the bag. I quickly look in his closet, bathroom, everywhere.  I'm moving at super sonic speed trying to find this damn thing, then it hits me; under the bed. I hear Reggie coming up the stairs and zap right back to the chair. "Here ya go." The tea has ice in it, perfect. Now I have another reason to send him back down stairs.  "Sorry, but I don't like ice in my tea, doyou mind?." He gives me this awful look. "What kind of person doesn't like ice in their Tea?." He goes back down stairs. I look under the bed and BINGO. I open his window and toss the bag outside.  I quickly close it and back in my seat I am; like nothing happened. 

     Reggie comes back with two cups. One for me and one for him. We talk some more, I actually enjoy it, he can really Crack up some jokes. I got to know the real him. He's actually a really kind person. His father just pushes him too hard.  I know that's not a good reason for why he does what he does, but I just feel sorry for him. I really feel sorry for tonight. I think I'm developing feelings for Reggie. I see light coming through the window, "Oh Shit!." Reggie looks at me, "WHAT?." I look at my phone to see what time it is. It's almost 5:30. "I have to go, my dad is going to kill me if he finds out I snuck out." I get up and run down stairs, Reggie Following after me. "I can drive you home." NO I didn't realize what I said. "It's just um, my neighbors get up early and if they see me pull up in a car, they'll tell my dad, so I'll have to go in through my back yard. I'll see you later ok?." Before I open the door, Reggie grabs me and pulls me in for kiss. "Most definitely." I run out the door, slamming it behind me. I crouch down and run to where his window is to get the bag. It landed behind a bush, great. I reach through the bush, grab the bag, and crouch run til I'm pasted Reggie's house and down the street.  I don't see Sweet Pea's car, so I take it upon my self to see what's in the bag. I unzipped it and can't believe what I risked for it. Tiny bags of pills were stuffed in the bag. I zip the bag up and start walking.  Sweet Pea drives up and I open the door.. I didn't say anything about the  bag because I didn't want him to know I looked in it.

     "Well its about time. I though I'd have to go in there myself. " I hand him the bag but I don't get in. "I'm going to walk, why don't you head home. I wouldn't want to get caught with what's in your car." So much for not letting him know. I slam the door and take off walking. A few seconds later, Sweet Pea speeds off. ASSHOLE is all I think.

Time Skip

     It's almost 6:15 when I get home. Dad and the twins are still asleep, thank God. I slip in through the back door with the spare key.  I get to my room and it's like nothing happened. No one would know I sneaked out besides me, Sweet Pea and Reggie.  I get back in bed and decided I'm sleeping all day. I cut all of my alarms off and set my phone on my table.  I should have put it on silent too because a few minutes later my phone dings. I'll check it when I decide to get up. Not long after, I'm sound asleep.
