From Ash to Gold (Sweet Pea x Reader )

Chapter. 2

    First block went by like usual, but there was talk about the serpents and theories about why their school got shut down. Some say they're so stupid, they thought it would help if they were put with a smarter class. Then, some say they are so broke, they couldn't afford to keep the power on and teachers were quitting because they couldn't take it anymore. Some kids were even getting checked out and their parents were raising all kinds of hell for them letting serpents come to our school. I'm just surprised my mother hasn't come up here and done the same because she should know by now.

     First block bell rang. I gathered my things and right before I reached the door, the guy from earlier stepped in front of me, blocking my way. I didn't want to be rude or ugly because they were getting enough of that, so I politely said, "Excuse me". He gave that same smile from earlier and even leaned in closer to me; "No". I just look at this moron like he's really going to keep me from leaving. "Look, I have to get to class or I'll be late. So can you PLEASE get out of my way". I added alot of emphasis and attitude on the please. He just looks at me like I'm a statue and Finally moves. He does that little hand gesture that says please, you first. I walk past him as fast as I can before he decides to block me again. I get a tingle in the back of my neck, so I turn around and he's still staring at me, and that damn smile.

      I'm almost late to Contemporary issues because that jerk thought it would be funny to stand in my way. What is his deal anyway. If he does it again, I'll give him a piece of my mind. I have alot of patience, but when it comes to something like that and someone constantly does it on purpose, I'll explode. I reach my seat just as the bell rings. Class has been going on for almost 20 minutes when there's a knock at the door. Mr. Wells opens the door and 3 serpents are waiting outside the door. And you'd never believe who was one of them.

    "You're 20 minutes late. Now please find a seat and DO NOT disturb my class or I'll send you right back to the office". One was a girl, she rolls her eyes and snickers. I try hide behind Kayla, she was in front of me, but it didn't work. That guy saw me when he walked in. He walks towards my row, so I look to see where he's going and one seat behind me is empty. One person is not going to be enough to put space between us. I already want to strangle him. Maybe this is why people don't like them so much because they're so annoying and aggravating.

     He walks by me and WINKS. Like what is this guy's deal. I look forward and try to concentrate on what Mr. Wells is teaching but then a letter is passed to me. I open it and it reads,

                Hey, I'm Sweet Pea.

     I can't believe this. I think of something to say that isn't too rude. I got it.

       I don't think I asked, Sweet Pea.

      I pass the note back right before Mr. Wells turns around and sees it. Bzzz bzzz, bzzz bzzz. My phone starts buzzing in my pocket. It's Betty.

     *It's Urgent. Meet me in the bathroom after class -B*

   There was still 48 minutes left of class, so I did my usual thing which was U/T (usual thing lol). I looked back up at the clock, I had 36 minutes left. Then, there's a piece of paper landing on my desk. I knew it was from Sweet Pea and I thought about just crumbling it up and throwing it away. But I was curious about what he had to say. I open and it says,

    That might be so, but I told you anyway. ^~^.

   I just rolled my eyes and crumbled the paper like I should have in the first place. I go back to writing notes down and then the bell rings a few minutes later. I quickly grab my things and rush out the door. I had to meet  Betty and I didn't want Sweet Pea to stop me again. I get to the bathroom and Betty is doing her walk that she does when she's nervous. Veronica was at the sink fixing her hair.

    "Oh, Y*N*. Good, you're here. Reggie and some of the other football players are meeting up after school with the serpents to fight. We have to stop them".

     "Wait, I'm surprised your mom hasn't called or came by the school to take you out or raise hell, N*N*".

     I give her that, yeah I know look. "I don't see how we're going to stop them. Boys will be boys and have it out", I say. She looks frustrated. "I know, but Archie is going to be there, and I don't want him or Jughead to get hurt".

    "I know B, but do you really believe a couple of girls are to stop a bunch of boys from fighting? Because I don't. Look I'll try to figure something out, but til then, don't worry so much about it".

     She knods her head ok, "I'll see you later". With that, she hurries out the bathroom and off to class. I hurry and do the same but V is still fixing her hair. I get to class before the bell rings AGAIN.  And of course, guess who's there, but he's on the other side of the room, which is a good thing. I have to think of Something to stop the boys from fighting. I mean why would they want to fight the serpents anyway? Don't they carry knives or something like that? I think of possible ways to stop the fight, when something great popped in my head. What if I can get Sweet Pea to stop the fight? Have him to persuade the others not to go. Maybe that'll work.  I text B and told her my plan, of course she didn't like it, but told me to give it a try.

My only question was, how am I going to do it?
