From Ash to Gold (Sweet Pea x Reader )

Chapter. 10

     Here is ch. 10 everyone,  just as I said I would update on Sunday. I hope you all enjoy. Also, ch. 11 will be updated tomorrow at 8 p.m and ch. 12 will possibly be posted Tuesday (most likely will). Thank you all for reading and I hope you enjoy this chapter.

  Reggie and I settle into a  booth while Pop hands us our menus.

"What can I get you two to drink?" 

"I want a cherry coke with a classic burger and fries", I say handing him my menu. I get the same thing everytime I come here. Reggie orders a sweet tea and a banana split and hands his menu to pop as well. Pop smiles and says, "Alrighty, it'll be out in a few minutes" and walks to the kitchen.

     I get right to the point, "So why did you want to hang out?" He looks at me and cocks an eyebrow. "Well, after the other night, I got to thinking a lot. About what happened, what was said. Ya know, all that." I look so dumb founded; he Kissed  me, not the other way around,  and yeah, the talk we had was great. I got to know him for him. But we just couldn't make us a thing. I said some of that stuff just to get on his good side, hoping it would work, and it did. But the him firing back at me was true. I just couldn't date him because he isn't true to himself in front of others and why the hell did he take the serpents drugs?

     "The kiss we had was great, I have been wanting to do that for a while. The talk we had was great to, but I don't see us going anywhere." He ends the sentence and I can't help but laugh. False Alarm! He looks at me like I'm crazy and asks What's funny? I finally stop and say, "Oh thank God. Reggie I was thinking the same thing. I am so glad you said something first. The other night was great, especially the kiss. I just hope with all that said, we can maybe be friends? Or we can go back to bickering at each other every chance we get."

Pop comes out with our orders and drinks. "Sorry for the wait kids, kitchen is busy with a takeout order. Enjoy." He sets our food down and heads behind the counter. Reggie takes a bite of his banana split and has a thoughtful look on his face. "I think we can be friends.  It would make everyone go crazy at school wondering what was going on with the two of us. Like Jug and Archie." I can't help but agree on that.  They'll be interrogating me every day.

     We have a good time at Pop's, cutting up and joking around, and talking about what we're going to do after high school. It's after 5 when Reggie pays for every thing and Pop says goodbye. I get in Reggie's car right as Sweet Pea drives up in his black car. Thank goodness for the tinted windows because he would have seen me. His windows are tinted too but I knew it was him because of his car. Reggie gets in and starts the engine. He pulls out the parking lot as soon as Sweet Pea gets out his car. Thank goodness for that because if they saw each other, it would have been bad and I would have been in the middle of it.

     I'm home by 6 and dad had dinner made for him and the twins. I head upstairs to my room to get ready for a shower. "I think I'm going to take a bath instead",  I say in my head. I get some clothes to sleep in and run the bath water.  A few minutes later it's done running and I get in. I take my phone to play some music while I relax.

     Then it rings..... it's Sweet Pea.
