Chapter Sixty-Nine

Vanessa's Pov-
I haven't heard from Ash today, I know she met with her parents for lunch. I wonder how that went. For her sake, I just hope it went well. She's supposed to call Leigh and I afterwards, so I'm just waiting for her to call. I wonder if she's gonna tell Howie that she told them? Obviously he knows that I know, but...I don't know. That's for her to decide I guess. While I waited for her to call, I decided to make some brownies, I figured Leigh and her could come over and we could talk about how things went with her parents. While I was getting ready to mix the ingredients, I heard the phone ring. Quickly I ran over to it, "Hello? " "Hey, Ness!" Is that who I think it is? "Kevin!!" He laughed into the phone, and said, "I just wanted to call and check on you." I could help but giggle as I said, "I'm doing good. I miss you though!" "I miss you too." "Do you know anything about Ashley being pregnant?" Oh shit. "Umm, what? Why would you say that?" I asked, "D said she is. He told us, and then said that you know as well." That makes sense. "Yes, she's pregnant." "Okay." I sighed and said, "I miss you Kevvy! I miss cuddling!" "Me too. None of the guys wanna cuddle with me!" I broke out in laughter as I heard a voice in the background say, "We love you Kev, but we don't love you like that!" The two of us laughed and talked for a little while, before Kevin said he had to go.

Once the brownies were done, I placed them on the counter to cool. I then heard a knock at the door, so I went to go answer it. Opening the door, I saw Ash and Leigh there. "Hey! Come in!" They stepped inside and they all looked towards the kitchen. "Are those brownies I'm smelling?" Ash asked, I nodded and said "Help yourselves." We all walked into the kitchen and Leigh said, "Okay, I've gotta know." "How did it go with your parents?" She sighed, "Well, they're disappointed in me. When I told them, my dad got up and left." Damn, poor Ash. Leigh hugged her, while I asked, "Did you tell them that Howie's the father?" She nodded, "Yes, and my father said he's gonna kill him or kick his ass." "I don't remember really. I was on the verge of tears." Leigh and I looked at each other, before leaning over to give Ash a hug.

While Ash ate the brownies, I pulled Leigh into the living room. "Have you talked to Brian recently?" She nodded, "Yes, why?" "Did he mention something to you? Something that Howie may have told him and the others?" "About how Howie told them Ash was pregnant?" "Yeah, he did. Did Kevin mention it to you?" I nodded and said, "Should we tell Ash?" Leigh shook her head, "Not right now. Seeing as how things didn't go so well with her parents today, let's wait a day or two." Right as I was about to say something, Ash walked in. "What's going on?" She asked, I stared at Leigh, "Oh nothing. I was just telling her how much Brian misses me, and how he said Kevin cries because he can't cuddle with Nessa." I glared at her while Ash laughed. Rolling my eyes, I walked into the kitchen and yelled out, "GOOD LORD ASH!" Leigh walked in confused, I showed her the plate that once had 30 brownies on it, now had only 2. I could see Ash look off to the side, "I'm sorry. It's not my fault." "She's got a point Nessa. But at least she left us each one." Shaking my head, I just said, "I know. Pregnancy is weird." Both Leigh and Ash nodded in agreement.
