"I'm stuffed." I sigh as I finish my last bite of pumpkin pie.

"I really don't know why every year I eat until it causes physical pain." Sarah moans.

"Because if you don't you're weak!" Paula states from across the table.

"Oh got er." I laugh. "When's game time?"

"Game time is now for the guys. Ladies you enjoy yourselves." Save says and leads his son Eric, and his son in law Coyote to the living room. They watch the game, the kids play, and us ladies play card games or board games. It's tradition.

"Spoons." I say going to the drawer of silverware.

"I don't know. Mom gets a little wild playing spoons." Wendy, Paula's daughter, laughs.

"Oh come on I'll be good!" Paula begs.

Shelby, Paula's daughter-in-law, starts dealing out the cards while I set up the score paper. We played round after round. Sarah was terrible but it was hilarious when she'd actually get a spoon. She'd do a little happy dance or slam it on the table and yell heck yeah.

As soon as Sarah lost we decided it was getting late. We said goodbye and then Sarah and I walked through the back door to the alley.

"You're adorable, you know that right?" I say giggling a little.

"What?"

"You suck at spoons but you were so cute when you got a spoon." We walk hand in hand down the road and through her back gate.

"Hey I'm new to the game. Cut me some slack!"

I don't know if it was from all the wine but I'm getting tired so I go straight to Sarah's room and throw on some pajamas I left there. We climb into bed and Sarah holds me to her chest.

"You wanna know what I'm thankful for?" I can hear her smiling.

"The bean dip?" I giggle.

"Yes but I'm not talking about dip." She says rubbing my back. "I'm so thankful for you Ry."

"I'm thankful for you too, Sarah."
