Chapter 4| An Invitation.
*Camp Half-Blood, Long Island*
|Thalia Grace|
It has been nearly two weeks since I had last seen Percy. I was still a little bit overwhelmed by the fact that my lost cousin, who was sent to the worst place on planet Earth for the last eight years, was alive.
The fact that my cousin wasn't a demigod was also kind of shocking. Who would have thought that the kind Sally Jackson was actually Order, sister and wife of Chaos, Queen of the Universe?
Well, when you adress her with that title, it does sound shocking. So, would that make Sally my aunt? I don't know, this whole thing is so messed up.
The hunters and I arrived back to camp about a week ago. Zeus had informed Artemis that another attack had taken place in both camps, and that they needed our help.
I was currently waiting by the highway close to camp, waiting for the arrival of the two lovebirds. Jason and Piper were coming back from their vacation today, and I was excited about giving them the good news.
Beside me stood Leo, Calypso, Frank, Hazel and Reyna, also impatient for the others to arrive. Annabeth rarely left her cabin now, which explained her absence. Even though that girl was immortal, she looked like a ninenty year old. Percy's punishment had certainly affected her the most, and it pained me to see my best friend like that and not being able to do anything for her.
However, the smallest trace of happiness made it's way through her face when she heard the news about Percy escaping Tartarus. Now, instead of locking herself in her cabin and not doing something, she continued with the blue prints that were forgotten, and searched for places were Percy could be staying.
When I told the seven about Percy forgiving them, they harrased me with questions, Annabeth most of all. I couldn't really tell them how I talked to him, so I made up the excuse that he had Iris Messaged me randomly and told me that.
Some of them didn't buy it, but it was enough for Annabeth to continue with what she had abandoned, and nobody questioned me for that reason: her sanity. We were all concerned about her finally losing it, but the news of Percy had raised her spirits, motivating her to do what she loved.
I felt kind of bad for her, knowing Percy now had a girlfriend. But, of course, no-one else knew it, and I didn't pretend o telling anyone. That matter concerned Percy, and even though he seemed happy everytime he mentioned this Evie girl, in the depths of my heart I hoped he would make up with Annabeth.
I was brought back to reality when a bright yellow cab stopped infront of us. The two back doors opened inmediately, and two tanned teenagers stepped out of it.
When I said tanned, I meant Piper. That girl was more bronzed than she was before. She was wearing a light pink flower dress along with black sandals and a beach hat. Her hair was tied up in a braid with her signature feather at the very end of it.
Now, Jason either doesn't know how to aply sunscreen or he really likes burning himself. His skin was as pale as usual, except his arms were sunburnt to the extreme of looking like they were covered in blood. He was wearing blue swimtrunks and a white tee shirt, along with sunglasses that rested on top of his head.
The driver opened the trunk of the car and pulled their suitcases out. Piper quickly payed him and after getting in, he speed of into the driveway.
We greeted our friends with hugs and smiled. I playfully patted Jason in the back and when he flinched in pain, I realised his burnt skin was probably all over his body.
