Chapter 16| Seaweed Brain.

*Camp Half-Blood, Long Island*

One month.

For almost a year now, I've been running around, doing preparations. Finishing and starting constructions, rearranging the camp settings, remodeling temples in Olympus, everything. And all for their arrival.

We weren't sure when, but it was now the beginning of May, so we estimated there was one month left before they got here. Before Percy returned home.

To say I was nervous would be an understatement. In fact, we all were. Since that letter we got from Lady Order, things have gotten out of control. Nobody wanted to anger a primordial as ancient as Order, but everybody was curious as to what happened to Percy. Chiron was not certain about the Universe's Eye since the naiad could have been mistaken. But still, everyone knew something happened in Tartarus because for sure he had changed.

As stupid as it may sound, every day I've been thinking about what I would say to him, how I would act. Last time he disappeared, when Hera abducted him, on our encounter I had run to him, kissed him, and judo-flipped him. But now the situation is different. This time, I was sure I was not going to be able to kiss him.

I looked up from my blueprints as soon as I heard a giggle behind me. I turned around, a wide smile on my face, and lifted the baby up, throwing him lightly in the air.

"You are one cute baby, Ajax!", I exclaimed while kissing him on his tummy. He let out another giggle, and I couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to have a baby.

"Dam, he likes you a lot. This past week all he's been asking is coming to see you", Grover protested, but I could see the smile on his face.

"When is he turning one?", I asked curiously, tickling Ajax on his left side, receiving another giggle in response.

"In September, also in Jason and Piper's anniversary", he said, while putting. "I can't believe he is eight months old. It seemed like yesterday when Juniper gave birth on the wedding"

I laughed, my mind drifting back to the memory. Grover had fainted as soon as he saw Juniper's blood, and Ajax had to take his place.

I suddenly started wondering about Ajax's whereabouts. I haven't heard from him since the wedding, and it kind of intrigued me.

"By the way, how is Ajax?", I asked Grover, and he sent me an incredulous look.

"Um... You are holding him", he stated, and I snorted.

"Not the baby, your friend stupid." I watched as a frown settled on his features before an expression of understanding overtook it.

"Oh, you mean... A-Ah, well, he's.. h-he's fine", he stuttered, looking around nervously. It was obvious that he was uncomfortable, and that he was hiding something from me. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"What are you hiding?", I questioned him, putting Ajax down on the floor and walking towards Grover, like a predator stalking his prey.

He moved nervously, his hooves kicking the wooden floor.
