The Tempest Furies

Operation: Save Wendy!

Exams are just over a week away. Starting to get nervous as people commonly do around this time. I'm still trying to pump out as many chapters as I can before they come. Hopefully my content is entertaining, it's nice to know someone likes my story, assuming anyone's made it this far. But anyways, enjoy!

Our goal was simple, find Wendy, save her, and then use her magic to cure Erza's poison. We all split into groups, spreading out into the Worth Wood sea. Hibiki and Lucy stayed by Erza's side while the rest of us searched for Wendy. I was grouped with the wizards from Lamia Scale. Jura lead us down a path, heading towards the east end of the forest. "I've seen you before, but normally you work with a specific partner, isn't that right, Tetsa?" Jura asked me as I answered him. I replied "Yes, that's true. I make up a team of two that is Fairy Tail's second strongest team. Or, we may be the strongest now, after recent events. But my partner, Damos, wasn't able to participate in this mission due to heavy injuries he received a few days ago. I was actually surprised our guilds master chose me to be a part of this operation." "And why is that?" Lyon asked me. "Well, it's because me and Damos have always worked together, since we first started our lives at the guild. We are an unstoppable force when we work together. We haven't failed once." I said to him as Sherry giggled. "What's so funny?" I asked her as she answered me. "It sounds like love to me. How cute." She said but I quickly responded and said "It's more of a brother/sister relationship. We were both abandoned at the door to our guild when we were both seven years old. We grew up with each other from day one, and we've grown stronger with the help of each other. We're always in perfect unison. We are the Tempest Furies." I said as Jura stepped back in. "So that's where I recognize you from. Well it's a pleasure to be working along side a powerful wizard. I'll try not to slow you down." He said to me but I just giggled. "Oh please, I should be saying that to you. You're the strongest wizard here, what with you being a wizard saint and all." I said before he interrupted me. "I may be a wizard saint but that is just a mere title. There's more to a person's power and wisdom than just a ranking. As far as i'm concerned, i'm still a learner." He said as we came to a small clearing. 

"Does everybody see what I see?" Lyon asked as we all replied with "Yes." We all stopped to look at the trees ahead of us. A dark mist surrounded the area, and the trees were black in colour. "What happened here?" I asked but no one gave me an answer. "I sense a tremendous amount of dark magic ahead. Be on guard, we don't know what may lurk in this forest." Jura said to all of us. But before we could go any further, magic bullets were shot around our feet. "What's going on?" Sherry said as we all went back to back. I formed my bow and arrows as I looked around to see who shot at us. I don't know how we didn't notice but dozens of wizards, each wearing a red cloak had surrounded us. "These must be members of the Red Hood dark guild." Jura explained. "So the Oracion Seis have called in the guilds that work for them. That certainly makes things a lot harder." I said as everyone agreed. "Well, well, well. Looks like we've come across a small group of those wizards. What do ya say we show them our magic!?" One of the dark wizards said as they all took out sketch books. "What are they doing with those?" Lyon asked as they all started to draw. They flipped their books and revealed what they drew. It looked like some sort of small squirrel-like creature. "Unison picto!" They all yelled as their drawings came to life. Standing around us were dozens of pink, squirrel-like animals. They were carrying weapons too, axes, swords, you name it. "So it's picto magic. Nothing I haven't seen before! Shadow God: Purgation's Overture!" I yelled as I fired five arrows from my bow. I took out several of the creatures as my arrows made lots of explosions. "Impressive power. Now i'll show you my skills!" Lyon said to my as he made a fist with one hand and pressed it against his other hand. "So it's the same Ice-Make magic Gray uses then. Interesting." I thought to myself as he unleashed his attack. "Ice-Make Eagles!" He yelled as he made several ice shaped birds appear form his hands. They crashed themselves into the creatures, making them disappear. "Then i'll go next! Marionette attack: Mud creature!" Sherry said as she made a monster appear from the dirt we were standing on. It was giant and she used it to crush the rest of the creatures. "Well done for such a small band of wizards. But can you handle...our greatest drawing!?" Another dark wizard said as they all began to draw in their sketch books again. They turned their books around and revealed some sort of lizard creature. It appeared in front of us, and this creature would definelty be tougher than the last. They created a wyvern, something Damos probably would've wanted to see. "That creature is no issue. It is nothing like the wyverns that lived in the time of dragons. My partner would always tell me that. If anything, he's more of a real wyvern than you're creation!" I said to the dark wizards as the wyvern charged us. "Don't intimidate us with a mere overgrown chicken. Iron rock vice!" Jura yelled as he made rock spikes appear from the ground. He coiled them around the wyverns head, trapping it so it couldn't attack us. "Now finish it!" Jura said to us as we all unleashed our own attacks. "Marionette attack! Ice-Make Lance! Shadow God: Devastation's Thorns!" We all said as our attack blew apart the wyvern. It disappeared and we all went to face the dark wizards. "If that's the best you can do, then this fight is over." Jura said as he called out his next attack. "Iron rock pillar!" He yelled as several rock pillars appeared from the ground, slamming into every member of the dark guild. He knocked them out with a single hit. "That takes care of that. Come on, we must continue our search for Wendy." Jura said as he started to run again. We all followed as we entered the dark mist of the forest. Lyon stayed behind for a minute but he quickly caught up to us. "What were you doing back there?" Sherry asked him as he gave us an answer. "I was trying to get information form one of the wizards. I asked if they could tell me where the Oracion Seis' base was. All they said was it's in an old village to the west. At least we have an idea of where they are now." He said as Jura stopped. He looked to the north and stood in place for a minute or two. "What is it Jura?" Lyon asked him. "I want all three of you to start heading west." Jura said as Lyon grew curious again. "And what of you?" He asked. "An enormous magical force is approaching. I'm not entirely sure what it may be, but I have a feeling it is one of the Oracion Seis. I shall remain here and engage them. Now all of you, get moving." Jura said to us as Lyon and Sherry started heading west. I stayed with Jura though and he said to me, "Why are you still here? I told you to go west." "And you also said for us not to confront any of the Oracion Seis alone. So i'm going to stay here with you. Sherry and Lyon will be fine without us, i'm sure of that. So we'll both take down one of the members of the Oracion Seis." I explained to him as he smiled. "Very well. It'll be an honor to fight along side you, in a real battle." He said to me as we patiently waited for our opponent to arrive. 

We didn't have to wait long as the magic energy grew even stronger. It was so strong we were able to feel what direction it was coming in. We turned to face the direction and we saw the member of the Oracion Seis, known as Hot Eye. "You didn't think you could hide from us, did you?" Jura asked him as he let out a quick chuckle. "How silly of me to try and out-fox a wizard saint, and a highly skilled wizard from her guild. Oh yeah!" Hot Eye said as Jura attacked him. He created stone slabs from the ground and fired them right at Hot Eye. Hot Eye simply lifted a finger and when the slabs made contact, he turned them into liquid. "We both use earth magic, and yet our powers are so different, wizard saint. Mine heats up and softens the soil while yours solidifies it. Oh yeah! I wonder who's power is strongest? Don't you?" Hot Eye said to Jura, but Jura didn't look pleased. "No, magical ability is irrelevant! The stronger ideology is always superior!" Jura said as Hot Eye laughed again. "I'm afraid that you're wrong. No matter the ere, the ones who triumph are the rich! Oh yeah!" He said as he started to liquefy the ground beneath us. "Get to higher ground Tetsa!" Jura said as he solidified the ground under my feet. He lifted me up by creating a stone pillar, giving me a clear shot at Hot Eye. I formed my bow and and called out my attack. "Shadow God: Purgation's Overture!" I cried as I fired five arrows from my bow. They quickly approached Hot Eye but he blocked my attack by creating several mud balls in the air. My arrows hit the balls and created explosions all over the area. "I didn't forget you were here young lady! I just prefer to fight my counter-part first! So stay out of our way!" Hot Eye said to me but I ignored him. "Sorry, but I don't intend to just sit on the sidelines while you potentially beat my comrade to death. I'm taking part in this fight, whether you like it or not! Now take this!" I yelled as I fired more arrows at him. At the same time, Jura escaped Hot Eye's previous attack and shot stone spikes at him. Like before, Hot Eye created mud balls in the air and blocked all of our attacks. "Keep up the pressure Tetsa! We'll wear him down with our teamwork!" Jura said as I readied to fire more arrows. 

Before I could launch my attack, a loud, thunderous sound occurred behind us. I looked and saw a massive pillar of black and white light, shooting straight up into the sky. "What the hell is that!?" I said as Hot Eye began to laugh once again. "It is Nirvana! It means that little wizard from your team has succeeded in reviving Jellal!" He said as a striking feeling hit me in the chest. I remembered that name, "Jellal." It was the name of the man who nearly killed Erza, Natsu, Gray, and a few other of my guild mates. As far as I knew, he was incredibly dangerous. The Oracion Seis must've revived him so he could aid them in finding Nirvana. "Yes, the great dark wizard, Jellal! Thought to be dead, but now he's back! And it seems he's found Nirvana for us!" Hot Eye said as he prepared to launch more attacks at us. "Keep your head in check Tetsa! Nirvana may be activated but we must still take down this man before us!" Jura said as I turned back around to face Hot Eye. "Right! I'm with you Jura! Let's take him down quick so we can get to that light!" I said as we both prepared ourselves to finish off the powerful dark mage.
