Everything is Gone

Feels nice to finally be over with the Oracion Seis arc. Now, as I said before, i'm skipping over the Daphne arc and moving right into the Edolas arc. I'm just having troubles thinking of one thing to do at the start. It's been puzzling me for a very long time and I guess I have to make my decision soon since this is the start of the arc. Whatever way it turns out, I hope you enjoy it!

-Point of View: Damos- -Time Skip: 1 Week-

The looming threat of the Oracion Seis had ended, everything had returned to normal. Peace had been brought back, as well as a new guild member for Fairy Tail. When Tetsa and the other members returned form their mission, they brought back a little girl and another cat that was just like Happy. We all found out they were named Wendy and Carla, and that Wendy was a dragon slayer just like Natsu. They seemed to be a little shy at first when they arrived but me and Tetsa helped them warm up to everyone. We've helped them on a few missions already, small ones of course, we don't want to overwhelm them with the missions we go on regularly. And now that a week had passed by, they'd opened their hearts to everyone in the guild. Me and Tetsa even let them stay in our home until they could pay off rent at Fairy Hills. They were a part of the family now, and we were all glad to have them here.

That afternoon, the four of us returned from another job for Wendy. It was a success of course, and we were sitting at a table in the guild hall. "Nice work Wendy. You're really getting the hang of things pretty quickly. You might be able to try some more difficult jobs soon." I said to her as I took a sip of my drink. "Thanks Damos. I'm not too sure if i'm ready for jobs like that yet though. I'll be sure to let you two know when i'm ready though. You guys have been a great help." Wendy said to us with a big smile. "Yes, you two have shown us much gratitude. We're truly thankful." Carla said as all of a sudden, bells could be heard in the distance. "What's that? What do those bells mean?" Wendy asked as Tetsa answered and said "It means Gildarts has returned." "Who is this Gildarts you speak of?" Carla asked. "He's the strongest wizard in Fairy Tail, even stronger than Erza, or even me and Tetsa combined." I said. "Actually, thanks to his "Crash" magic, anything he touches is destroyed. So the whole town of Magnolia had to design a shifting mechanism, so that he doesn't accidentally break something. The bells indicate that he's entered the town. If you walk out of the guild, you can see that the town's about to split in two to create a path for him." I explained as Carla scoffed at us. "So you have to split the town, just because this wizard is clumsy!?" She asked as we both nodded. 

After waiting for a few minutes, Gildarts had arrived at the guild hall. He looked confused when he stepped inside though. Mira went to greet him. "Excuse me ms. but can you tell me where the Fairy Tail guild is? I thought it was here, but I guess i'm mistaken." Gildarts said. "This is the Fairy Tail guild. Remember me? I'm Mirajane." She said as Gildarts thought long and hard to remember. "Wait, Mira? Wow! You sure have grown up a lot little girl! And did you change some stuff up around the hall too!?" He asked as he was taking a look around. "Yep, he hasn't changed a bit. Always one who doesn't see the obvious right away." Tetsa said as Wendy giggled. Carla looked unamused, probably thinking Gildarts was an idiot, which he could be sometimes. Everyone was so happy to see him return. Natsu even tried to fight him but it ended up the same way it always does, with Natsu getting beaten in one move by Gildarts. "Since everyone's so happy to see him, does that mean he's been gone for a long time?" Wendy asked. "You bet. He's been gone for three years." I said as both Wendy and Carla looked surprised. "He was on a mission for three years? How can anyone go for that long?" Wendy asked. "He's definitely capable of holding his own for that long. When it comes to wizard guilds, there are regular missions. Then there are S class mission that only S class wizards can take. Next are SS class, and then "Decade" quests. They're called that because they take a minimum of ten years to complete." Tetsa explained as Wendy and Carla looked in awe. "So did Gildarts do one of these Decade quests then?" Carla asked but Tetsa answered and said "Actually, he took on a quest even more difficult than a Decade quest. Gildarts is qualified to take on "Century" quests. I'm sure you can figure out how long those can take." "Did you say Century!? I guess it's too much for him, even though he would probably die of old age before completing a quest like that." Carla said as me and Tetsa agreed. "Yeah, even we don't get the point of those quests." I said as we looked back over to Gildarts. He finished a conversation with Makarov and began to leave. Only his style of leaving was walking over to a wall and blowing a hole through it. When he left, we were able to see that the sun was going down. "Well, looks like it's about to get dark. We should head home, I think it's going to rain later." Tetsa said as we all nodded in agreement. "Yeah, let's go. I've been waiting to take a bath all day." I said as Wendy started to laugh. "Yeah me too. All this work has been really tiring. Thanks for letting me and Carla stay with you while we make some jewel." Wendy said. "Hey, it's no big deal. Stay for as long as you need to, we don't mind one bit." Tetsa said as I also nodded in agreement. We all started to leave the guild as the sun was setting, but the rain started shortly after we left.
