chapter 9 Merchants

His wings up top but smaller.

I wake up in the morning still a little tired. I start my routine where I change my clothes, and then go towards the kitchen to eat.

I eat more of the fruit with some juice. 'I need to get more of these fruits later', I though to myself. I'll head to the merchants carts today to get some hygiene products.

I think back to my wings. 'although there small I wonder if I can fly a little'? I mean, even though I'm not reacting to a lot of the stuff happening to me I'm still childish with the concept of flying and magic.

I finish eating and head outside. I concentrate to bring my wings out. I look at them, I have to admit out of everything I have, I like them the most.

I'm guessing for flying, with like with most magic  have to imagine flying and stuff like that. I take a deep breath and exhale. I imagine my wings fluttering like bird wings, but nothing happens.

This time I go more in detail. I imagine my shoulder blades and muscle move with my wings, and then I imagine them fluttering slowly.

I feel my back twitch . I get a little excited and try again, and again, and again.

I'm able to flap my wings a little back and forth. Even though I'm a beginner I'm happy I'm able to do a little.
After a while I decide I've had the out for a while and but then back.

It's been a while and I decide to head out to the merchants carts. I bring with, fifty copper coins and two silver coins. I know Its a lot but I want to stack up in the things I need, and I don't want to worry for a long time. I get ready and put a bandage over my eyes. I'm planning on staying I injured my eyes, I put my cloak on, lastly I put money in a small bag, and head out.

After a long time of walking I'm almost there. I'm still walking and I thought about an excuse to gain less attention on me. I'll say I'm an adventurers so and I'm getting supplies for him. Oh I'll also have to talk childish.

I see people and the carts in the distance near the village. I take a breath in and release it. I'm walking forward with my cloak on to cover my hair. I see different people everywhere.

There's guys and girls with swords, probably adventurers that all have different crazy anime hair colors in my opinion is cool. Put something makes me stop in my tracks, I see a guy with hare ears on the top of his head with a small round fluffy tail on his butt.

To be honest I'd be lying if I said that wasn't adorable. I didn't know that there beast men here. I really need to read the whole manual, because it's becoming a problem when I don't know everything yet.

After looking at the beast men for a few seconds I head off. I'm glad, it didn't seem there's any hate towards beast men like in some books.

I'm looking around and a lot of people are giving me weird looks. Well I'd probably do the same if it seems like a small child in a cloak covering his whole body showed up in the market.

I move forward trying to calm myself and ignore the stairs I'm getting. I pass carts with fish or dangerous looking weapons.

I see a cart with familiar looking veggies. There's lettuce, carrots, and snap peas, but that's naming a few. I fell myself, remember talk like a kid. I head over to the cart.

The guy running the cart is buff, and has blond hair with really muscular features. He's pretty tall to, probably like 6'3 or something like that ( 190 cm if I'm correct) . I head up to him and ask in a childish voice "mister can I buy some veggies?"

He looks weirded out for a second then asks me, " hey kid were are your parents. ' dang it, I like that kids are cherished in this world, but this is a pain for me at the moment.'

"Oh hi mister, my mom is sick so my dad asked if I could be a good boy and pick up groceries." I say cutely. He replies with, "what's with the cloak". 'geez, this guy is just plain nosy.'

" dad said to leave this cloak on to protects me." I say cutely again, while tilting my head to make it look like I'm questioning why he asked.

He seems to be at ease more now. "Sure kid what do you want?" I think about it and ask, " can I please have some lettuce, carrots, snap peas please. " I tilt my head again. " Sure kid that'll be six copper coins". I say lastly, " thanks mister ", while taking a bag with the items in there.

I go to different carts explaining the same story over and over again. I ended up getting two loaves of bread, blue cheese dip for the veggies, and some normal small cheddar block of cheese . Some sliced meat for sandwiches, also some normal milk, and butter. I also found that there was instant fruit flavoured oatmeal so I got some of that too.

To keep these things cold, I bought a magical item that's like a mini fridge, but it's the size and looks of a bigger cooler.

In all I used one silver coin, because the food was twenty-one copper coins, and the fridge thing was twenty-nine copper coins, so I used one silver instead.

I but some items into my money bag and the rest of the items in the fridge thing. Thank goodness this fridge thing has wheels or I'd be doomed.

I look around and see no one's looking at me or following me, so I head back into the forests to my home.

Also, sorry for the slow start it'll pick up soon, but I'm just getting across that Simons getting used to things, and I don't wanna rush this part, or the story.  Especially I want to get Simon used to this world for a little bit.
