I was a little shocked when rich, my boyfriend bought me tickets to see Hamilton on broadway, I mean he liked watched football games or hockey games and he'd always drag me along. But now we were going to see a show. And a good one to!

I packed my bag, we were going to New York for the weekend, I heard my mom come upstairs "he's here." I nodded and put on my back pack and ran downstairs to his car. I hadn't seen him in awhile. About a month since we lived an hour apart. I ran to his arms and hugged him tightly. "Hey..." he whispered into my ear. I pulled away from the hug and kissed him softly "I'm so ready for this trip." He nodded and pushed some hair behind my ear "no parents." I nodded and got in the car with him. We had a long drive a head of us. 7 hours. And it was already 9 in the morning. I got in the car. We drove for a while, talking about how we were, I eventually fell asleep.

I woke up at 5:38 by rich shaking me. "What..." I yawned. "Guess where we are baby." He smirked "New York?" He nodded "we're going to go out for dinner quickly probably get take out and then go see the show ok?" He stroked my cheek. I nodded and got out of the car with my blanket "sweetheart you can't bring that inside with you-" he chuckled and took it from me. I was exhausted. We walked inside of McDonald's. It was the closest place so we went here. I got a ten pack of chicken nuggets and fries and sat down. I ate quickly and quietly

Rich's POV

It bugged me how quiet they were being. Did I do something wrong? I kicked her leg under the table "stoppp" they groaned. I frowned and went back to eating. Maybe I shouldn't ask her to prom... I fidgeted with my hands. "What's wrong rich?" They said through a mouth full of food. I shrugged "Nothing I'm just so excited." I smiled weakly and went back to eating

I nodded and checked the time "we should go." I smiled and took his hand. We threw away our garbage and headed out the door to the theatre. It was chilly out.

We made it to the theatre. I didn't know where we were sitting as the tickets were booked last minute. We went inside and looked around "this place is beautiful." He nodded "Y/N can I ask you something?" I turned to face him "ya of course!" He looked at his feet and the fiddled with something in his pocket. He pulled out a necklace "Do you want to go to prom with me..?"

My heart practically skipped a beat "you're joking..." he shook his head "so..?" I nodded and pulled him into a hug, letting out a loud squeal. "Yes I want to go to prom with you!" He nodded and smiled, kissing me softly. We went and watched our show.

~A few weeks later~

I gently laid my head against Rich's shoulder as we swayed back and fourth, I was getting tired. He patted my back "thank you rich..." I smiled weakly and kissed his cheek. He nodded and chuckled "no problem Y/N. I couldn't imagine coming here with anyone else." He stroked my cheek. I for once felt extremely special. Today had been perfect. Nothing could ever change that.
