Alexis's POV

I was getting dressed to go out to the store and buy some food for the house. My mom was currently working and she can't call off at all. So, I was going to bring my little brother and sister with me. I walked to Jakes room and knocked on the door. "Come in!" I heard from the other side of the door. I opened it up slightly and peaked my head in. "Get dressed we are going to go get some food. I don't want you to be home alone even though we are two years apart." He nodded his head and I went to Max's room and gave her something to wear. She got dressed quickly and I went back to my room and sent a text to my mom saying I was heading out to buy some food.

I grabbed my car keys and wallet. "Guys come on!" I yelled from my room and then started walking down the stairs. I put on a jacket and opened up the door and went to the car and turned it on to heat up. I then went back inside to see them walking down the stairs. I gave them their jackets and a hat. It was a cold day today. I shut the door behind us and we went to the car. I got in after putting Max in her car seat. I backed out of the drive way and put on the radio. They were either singing along with the song or talking. I got into the parking lot of Walmart and parked the car as close to the front as I could.

"Each of you pick out a drink, snack, and one dessert." We got out of the car and walked to the doors. I got a shopping cart and placed Max inside the basket part. I went walking down the juice aisle. "Max, Jake choose something and bring it back." I got her out of the cart and grabbed a package of water bottles and soda. They both came back with one drink and placed it in the cart. I walked off with them by my side and went to the snacks. They knew what to do while I grabbed cookies, chips, and poptarts. They put there stuff in the cart and I walked them with me to get milk and eggs. I then brought them with my to get bread, pasta, veggies, fruits, seasoning, meats, and pizza.

"Okay come on guys, we are going to go to the dessert area." Max climbed into the cart while we went to the aisle. I grabbed a couple things and they brought back some things. We went to a cash out line and paid for all the food. "Guys, if you help me put these away we can go to the mall and do a little shopping." They smiled as we walked to the car. Jake helped with the heavy things and Max did the light things. We got in the car and drove to the mall. I parked the car and we went inside.

**********

I had gotten stuff for the graduation present since it was coming up. We are currently at home and I was making dinner. My mom doesn't get home for another 10 maybe 20 minutes. I let Jake have a few friends over while Max played and watched T.V. Soon, I finished up making dinner and set the table to see my mom walk through the door. She smiled and gave Max and I a kiss. "Jake is up stairs, he has a few friends over right now because they behaved today." She smiled and mouthed a thank you while she went to her room to freshen up. I brought Max to the table and then went up stairs to Jakes room.

"Guys foods ready." They cheered and we all went down stairs and waited for my mom. She came down and sat with us as we talked and ate. Today was over all a good day and I really did wish others had the chance to do this too but not everybody has a life like this sadly. I am going to make a difference in that. I am doing YouTube to give money out to family's in need. And I really hope it helps them. We laughed and talked, we made memories. We shared things to entertain each other, to inform each other.

After we ate, we separated and I washed the dished with Jake. "Lexi?" I looked over at him. "Yeah?" He looked down at the dish he was washing. "How do you know if somebody is gay?" I was surprised at his words. "Well, they would flirt with other boys." I looked at him from the side of my eye. He spoke again. "How do you know if you really are gay?" I think he was trying to say something so I turned off the water and looked at him. "Well, it's about how you feel towards a guy. If you have sexual or relationship wise feelings for them, it's hard to figure yourself out right now because of the age you are at but you will know." He smiled at me. "And how do you know if a boy is flirting with you?" I looked down and smiled. "Let's see, they would touch you, like your back, arm, hand, knee, they would hug you, smile whenever they see you, make flirtatious comments."

He thanked me and then walked away. I smiled knowing I helped him. Soon enough all the boys except for one left. Now it was just Jake and Trey in his room. I heard mumbling, laughing and soon nothing. Not long after, I seen them walk down and go to the door. They were talking quietly for a second and then I seen them leaning in. I was surprised at what I was about to see. It happened. They kissed. My brother and his friend were gay. They were dating. I smiled.
