Chapter Seven: Sam Moves in

Chapter Seven: Sam moves in

They entered the small but luxurious plane, and were assisted by a very handsome male steward. Jack and Sam sat down across the aisle from each other as the plane took off into the air. They were both still silent; it was awkward and uncomfortable; Sam could not seem to process everything Jack had told her, whether or not she wanted to. It was becoming almost too painful for her. She tried to sleep for a while, but the cute steward kept bugging her for drinks.

Sam looked to Jack and saw the look of irritation on his face every time the young man came to ask her a question. Shaking her head, she stood and said, “I feel grubby and tired, I need a hot shower. I was up quite late last night and fell to sleep without showering. Do you mind if I go to the back bedroom of the plane and refresh myself?” She had no idea why she asked, but she did.

Jack flipped

“Of course not,” he replied stiffly.

Sam’s eyebrows rose at his tone, she then shrugged her shoulders and walked to the back of the plane with her bag.

Jack knew he was acting like an ass; he could not seem to help it, she…looked delicious. And he knew he was acting inappropriately, but he could not get the image of her underwear out of his head. When he helped her pack, he pulled her dresser drawers and was confronted with her unmentionables, and they were a glorious array of thongs and lace. He had never been one that went for women’s underwear, now he could not get the collection out of his head.

 He was also angry that the little bastard of a steward was plainly hitting on Sam. How did he know he was not her husband or boyfriend? He knew it was irrational to be in this kind of mood, but he was angry with himself for wanting Sam. He looked at her and felt an instant want for her hot new body. She looked so different, but her attitude changed; she seemed more confident, much more womanly.

Focus, Riggs, you need to focus! So he pulled out his laptop and started to work. A time later Sam came back to sit in her seat. A light floral and exotic smell came with her. Jack did not look up from his laptop until the steward brought him and Sam a soft drink and a snack. Well, he should say he brought Sam a snack. As soon as Jack noticed the kid was not moving from his stance near Sam; he  choked on his own tongue.

Sam was a beautiful girl not made up for the day, but now that she was showered, dressed, and wearing makeup; she was a freaking advertisement for every adolescent boy's fantasy.

She was dressed in low rise skinny jeans that had a slight flare at the base of her feet; she was also wearing a simple white cotton tank top, that hugged her pert deliciously full breasts. Her hair was down and sat in beautiful curls around her face and waist; it begged for a man's touch. Her make up looked minimal, but seemed to highlight her gorgeous deep brown eyes and her plump lips were glossy and red, much like a ripened cherry waiting to be picked.

Jack swallowed slowly and regained his wits long enough to clear his throat and give the guy a pointed, threatening look. The steward turned and walked away, blushing like crazy.

Jack looked back to Sam, who had noticed the exchange; she was staring out her window, leaving her snack and drink untouched.

Sam flipped

The flight was long and uneventful; she tried to keep from crying another time; she was kicking herself for letting Jack hold her on the couch at all. She promised herself she would never let Jack that close to her again, but in a moment of intense heartbreak and mental anguish, she let him in. Sam was disgusted with herself as she disembarked the plane, she told herself this situation was not about her, but her mother and her father. She needed to get that straight in her head.
