Corey's POV
There we were. At our big gig in the centre of down, where we would face off against the Newmans. Apparently they got a new member.. So they might have been a bit harder to beat.
We had just finished our performance, and I was proud of our progress... But without a bassist it just wasn't the same. We sat down backstage and watched as the Newmans passed by.
Carrie, Larry, Kim, Laney, Konni--
LANEY?!
"LANEY?!" I screeched as I leapt up. "Oh. Hi Corey." Laney growled. "Your with.. With THEM now?!" I pointed to the other Newmans. "As a matter of fact, I AM! They agree with me finding love, unlike a certain blue haired male." She shot back hugging Larry's arm, making him blush.
"Who's the guy?" Kon asked, dumbly. We all facepalmed. "Either way, with our new member, we'll CRUSH you! And you can't stop us!" Carrie snapped as the Newmans all laughed and ran on stage. "No.. Not Laney.." I grit my teeth. "Anybody but Laney.." I clinched my fist.
"Laney, you traitor!" I yelled aloud as the Newmans began to play.
