Hails

I needed help and you're not there,
All that's left for me to stare,
Is a blank screen, hoping you would come,
To the place I hoped I'd lose my glum.

I needed help and you're not there,
All that's left for me to stare,
Is a blank screen, hoping you would come,
To the place I hoped I'd lose my glum.

And I guess the crimson left again,
He'd stay away from sadness and pain,
Well, nothing's new because he's pure,
He has nothing to do with helping others, I'm sure.

What else was new, what else to expect?
When all the problems, he does neglect,
I feel sad that I can't get to talk to him,
Now, I think, our chance to talk again is slim.

I guess I'll just let it be,
I'll just hold on my promise and let no one see,
The monster inside the crimson's heart,
That keeps him from the others, far apart.

Hails.
Hails.

Hails to those who are happy all the time.
Hails to those who create and weave rhymes.
Hails to those all smiling and free.
Hails to those who choose not to see.

Hails to those who gave a cold shoulder.
Hails to those who cry louder than thunder.
Hails to those who are never in vain,
But I'll keep my friends, all those who are in vain.

So, hails to you, my friend next door,
Do know that I won't speak like before,
I am not mad, I am just sad,
You chose to hail and joke when I feel bad.

So, hails to you, know this well,
I will keep everything, I wouldn't tell,
A soul, a ghost, about what we had,
It's on you if you'd choose to converse with this lad.
