"Angel, stop! You're gonna push me off the dang sidewalk and into the road!" Rose had said, numerous times actually. Except I was almost sure that the only reason Ángel wouldn't stop was because listening to the thick southern accent that she had was amusing to us Michiganders... and Canadian. I only chuckled. Going caroling on a day where the Christmas spirit had only been given to us teenagers was probably a bad idea. The snow that gotten everyone riled up was now replaced with slush. I only started to ignore the fighting behind me as I heard a large thud behind me.
"Hahaha! So much for your new coat, Angel!" I heard Chrys say from behind me. I couldn't help but chuckle slightly. I gave the good to go to cross the street when I didn't see anything, then quickly made my own way down the sidewalk, careful not get my boots too muddy. If you've been to Michigan, you play a never ending game that Rose calls, "Who will accidentally fall in a three foot pothole first," and in Honeybrook, you play 24/7, whether you want to or not. I look at the next house, then wait for the others. All I can see is Angel, mortified, dramatically shaking the water off her hands like it was the end of the world. I only smile. I take back the part where I said caroling was a bad idea. This was the best idea Ebony had ever had.
