After I got myself cleaned up, I went into the kitchen to start dinner, starting to work on my essay.

"Hey, whatcha working on?" He asked standing beside me.

"My essay. I started dinner, soon as I finish I'll make my way over to my place."

"Adrian, we can order in. I don't want you cooking on your last day here. It sucks seeing you leave, but I get it spending time with your dad is more important."

"I miss him; I lost my mom. I can't lose him either, so I want to spend every minute with him. I want to cook dinner. Don't you have a speech to do?"

"Yes, I'll do it tomorrow. Graduation is Monday I'll be fine, I have plenty of time to do it. Or have someone else write it for me."

"What's the joy in letting people write it for you? It wouldn't feel right. If you need help, I'm available."

"I'm okay. Seems like a lot of pressure. It caught me by surprise. I didn't want to do it because I felt like the only reason they asked was because I'm famous. Everyone treats me differently. And you've never treated me like they do. Thanks."

"You're welcome. It's a possibility that could be true, but maybe it was because of your outstanding grades. You earned it Justin; you're completing high school. Got the chance to feel a little normal, and I can tell it felt good. You decided to finish school, and you did. You got the chance to be valedictorian also, meet my amazing dad, and also got to meet me."

"Don't forget about our lovely daughter. But you're right; I'm happy I decided to finish. I met a very cool person that I want to spend my entire life with. Now I'm engaged, which is why I want to ask about the wedding. We can wait long as we want to, we don't have to do it so soon."

"I know. We should wait until I've graduated from college, I at least want to finish and focus on me instead of stressing about the wedding."

"Okay. Your education comes first, I respect that. I really am sorry about the Jason thing."

"Don't worry about it. Long as he's gone, I'll be fine. Plus, I wanted to do that for a long time. You did me a favor. I haven't been taking my medicine. I thought I didn't need them anymore, so the doctor prescribed me some sleeping pills. Haven't been getting much sleep, thanks for watching me but, I still can't stop thinking about it. I still want to tell my story, and I think it's time."

"Okay. Well, I told your dad and Kristie about our plan, and they're up for it. They've already started giving out subpoenas, for everyone that was involved. I'll be getting mines tomorrow. I'm happy you're doing this, maybe you'll sleep well and get that weight off your shoulders."

"Yeah, maybe. I mean it's my words against a dead guy right? They should believe me." I said.

"They should believe you anyways. We can get his dad also, he should be fired. If they have the records of you calling or filing a restraining order, he could go to jail. I'm just happy that we're not only bringing Jason down but his family too. Aren't you?"

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm happy. How did you feel seeing your dad for the first time?"

"Felt weird but we caught up on things. He wants to meet you; he's excited about us getting married and graduating high school. He wishes he could see it but...there's not a chance of that happening. If you're not ready to meet him, I completely understand."
