I sat on the sofa, holding Audrey in my arms. She looked so beautiful; I smiled kissing her head.

"Hey, I got your text, she's so beautiful," Carmen says coming inside. "May I?" She asks.

"Yeah, of course," I said handing her to Carmen.

"She has Derek's lips. I never saw a baby this gorgeous. I see she's knocked out."

"Yeah, she was telling me how tired she was. Couldn't go to sleep because of the contractions. Now she can finally get some sleep."

"How are you holding up? I know you and Adrian had a thing. Are you guys back together?"

"Um, I'm fine and I couldn't say if we were together or not. I just want it to be her and Audrey. Maybe she can focus on her school work. I don't think she needs another guy in her life. I love her, I am deeply in love with her. Of course, she knows that but, I think it's best if we don't get back together, not now anyway. I already have a lot on my plate."

"Oh yeah. I heard. Sorry about that."

"Yeah, me too," I said.

"I think that's brave of you to let her focus on her and the baby. I'm pretty sure she needs to focus on her anyway because she's a newborn. They need lots of attention. Derek loves her, well loved her...I think his feelings for her will still be there but they rather not be together again. I talked to him recently, he really wanted to stay but it's what he signed up for. Thanks for the pictures, I sent them to him already, I hope he sees it."

"Yeah. I hope so. Before all of this, I knew Audrey wasn't mines. But when I look at her..I see a different side of me. I see me taking care of her, playing with her, doing everything in my power to protect her. She's going to change me."

"I think she already has." She says smiling. "My husband couldn't make it to see Audrey, but I forward him the pictures too. Thanks for inviting me to the baby shower, it was amazing what you did for her."

"Thanks. I figured everyone should come, even Derek's side of the family. It was a good day."

"Yeah, it was. So about this lawsuit, sorry for bringing it up again. If you need help, I do have a suggestion for you, if you want to hear it."

"I have nothing else to lose so, sure," I said. She began to tell me what I think I should do if I were on the urge of losing everything. It was smart, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to do it. When she left, I walked up to the side of the bed looking at Audrey sleeping.

"Going somewhere?" Adrian asks.

"I have a concert so yeah. I'm happy I got the chance to hold her."

"Yeah me too. You go out there and kill it. I'll be watching you on tv."

"No, you go back to sleep. I know how tired you are."

"Justin, if I can't be there. I'm going to watch you. Okay."

"Okay, fine but I'm coming here once it's over."

"You go home and get some rest; you need it. You've been here all night, and I thank you. But you don't need to come back."
