After Derek finished breakfast, we both decided to go to the doctors' office for Issac's first appointment to get checked out. At least I was getting out of the house.

"It feels amazing to get out of that house. I thought I was going to lose my mind in there. Thanks for coming, I'm happy everything is fine with Issac and me, I thought I would end up with stitches after but I was wrong. Anyways, I wanna go on a road trip to meet your grandparents."

"What? Really? We don't have to."

"I want to, besides, I'm trying to avoid going back home with nothing to do since the doctor put me on bed rest. Even though I can't do that because, I have a child to feed, bathe, and change."

"That's what you have me for. Take all the rest you need, you deserve it. I barely get any sleep anyhow. Take care of yourself so you can take care of Issac. We don't have to take a trip to L.A to see my grandparents."

"We are going, and you're going to navigate me to the right destination. I'm bored, okay, I just want to go out and do something. And going to visit your grandparents, is what I want to do. Please, I'm begging."

"Alright, alright. Instead of navigating. I'll drive. We'll get there a lot quicker if I drive. Hand me the keys." He says I sighed taking them out of Issac's diaper bag handing them to him. On our adventurous way to L.A, we made it to the ranch, I grabbed Issac out of his carseat making my way up to the house. "You nervous?" He asks knocking on the door.

"Of course not."

"Derek, it's good to see you. What brings you back?" His grandma asks hugging him.

"The mother of my child wanted to meet you, she just had a newborn and wanted to get out of the house so, I brought her here."

"Hi, it's very nice meeting you. I'm Adrian." I said politely shaking her hand.

"Nancy, it's nice meeting you too. Derek has told me so much about you. My husband George and I love Audrey, come in, come in. Would you like something to drink?" She asks inviting us inside. "I have beer, I know how frustrating it is to have a newborn and giving up drinking for nine months." She says handing me a beer.

"Thank you, and yes it's very frustrating. But hopefully, this will be my last kid. Derek has told me about you, well not a lot but I know Audrey was here when I was away for my honeymoon."

"Oh, yes. Audrey had a good time, we enjoyed her, she's so precious. I was happy when I found out that Derek had a daughter, couldn't wait to meet her. You two have done a good job raising her."

"Thank you, but I would actually give the credit to him and my husband. They've been wonderful with her. Derek is a good father. He didn't want to get just anyone pregnant so, I asked him for a favor and, he gave me a beautiful baby girl."

"That's understandable. Better than Jessa, never liked her, what happened to her?" She asks.

"Grandma, really? We're doing this now? She cheated on me."

"Good. At least she showed you her true colors. You're better without her, it's time to focus on you and your daughter. She would try to take you away from being with her, what kind of girlfriend does that? I'll tell you what kind, the jealous kind, the insecure kind."
