What You Never Knew......She's Insane

Ch. 11- Hospital

*Alya's POV*

I watched as my best friend get throw over Star and into a wall, screaming out in pain. We all growled and held Adrien back from running to Mari.

"Come on, first we have to defeat her" I said and he sighed while we dodged an attack.

We kept trying to find the akumatized object but couldn't since this girl kept shining light in our faces. We dodged and fought back as much as we could.

"Guys I think it's in her necklace!!" we heard Mari yell

Why isn't she up yet? She must've gotten hit pretty bad.

We all nodded and surrounded Star and got closer to her until we eventually got her necklace, thanks to making an illusion that I was right infront of her. I grabbed the necklace and broke it and sure enough, there was an akuma.

"Guys!!" Mari yelled and threw here yoyo to us. I caught it and gave it to Adrien.

I ran across the rooftops to Mari and when I saw her I almost passed out. She looked terrible. Her leg was bent in two different positions, and clearly broken since I could see her bone. Anyone would have thought that that was it with her but when she started coughing I freaked out.

"Oh my god, Mari" I said while looking down, she followed my eyes and saw what I did. She coughed up blood, like a lot.

I watched as her eyes started to roll into the back of her head. She passed out cold right infront of me and I was scared out of my mind for my bestie.

"Ladybug!!!" I screamed as she passed out.

I quickly checked her pulse.....barely there. Oh hell no, this is not happening. I realized I was crying when I got pulled up by Adrien but I just fell right back down with my head in my hands.

"Nonono Mari, wake up!!" Adrien screamed, "No you're not leaving us. Nonono....." he repeated 'no' over and over as he stood up and ran to the hospital with Mari in his arms after he took out her earrings and put them back in so that she wasn't transformed.

"Come on" Nino said softly, I looked up and saw that he was crying too. I stood up and hugged him tightly and he did the same to me. We broke off the hug and jumped off the building, making our way to the hospital after detransforming.

We got to the hospital and walked in saw Adrien sitting there on the floor, his head in his arms that were resting on his knees. Me and Nino walked up to him and sat down hugging him so all of us were in a group hug.

"Do you know anything?" I asked softly

He shook his head, "It's all my fault"

"No it isn't. If anything it's all our faults but I don't think she will want us thinking that" I said

*2 hours later*

We all sat in the cold, disenfectant smelling hospital waiting room. Adrien's parents came, his father seemed really concered possibly more than Mrs.Agreste. Mr.Agreste is a really nice, funny, and caring guy but when it comes to modeling he's a bit strict. My parents were here too, Nino's as well. We all waited in a silence full of tension.

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng?" the doctor asked

Adrien shot up and ran to him, us right behind him.

"Yes?" Adrien practically screamed

I'm glad he talked, I would have been a lot louder

"I'm sorry but-"

"NOOOOO!!!" Adrien, Nino, and I screamed and fell to the floor, our parents hugged us

"Wait!! She didn't pass away!!"

"W-w-what?" Adrien sniffled while his parents were hugging him

"She didn't pass. I was saying I'm sorry because we couldn't help her-"

"What do you mean you couldn't help her?!" Mr.Agreste boomed while walking towards the doctor as we all slowly stood up

"I mean we couldn't help her because she's gone, she just....disappeared" the doctor said while backing up, I gotta admit Mr.Agreste is scary.....but not as scary as Mrs.Agreste. How do I know? One word........

Chloe

"Gone?" I asked

"Yes we got back into her room with her tests but she was gone"

"What did her tests say?" my mom asked

The doctor stiffened and waved my mom over. Confused, she walked over and the doctor showed her what I'm guessing was Mari's tests. We all watched as my mom's eyes widened and pushed the papers away, crying.

Oh god

Adrien started firing questions as our parents all looked at paper with wide eyes, tears trickling down their faces. We tried to look at the paper but our parents pushed us away.

"Is it that bad?" I asked, my voice shaking

"Very but it wasn't from today" Mrs.Agreste said, wiping her tears

"Mom please tell me" Adrien begged, sobs shaking his whole body

"I can't, not yet" she finished, "Let's go"

We all sighed worrily and walked out of the hospital.

What we didn't know was that the doctor wasn't an actual doctor............
