*Adrien's POV*

It was her. It was Marinette.

We all stood in shock in the classroom, not even fazed by the unmoving bodies on the floor. We heard sirens outside and we all slowly moved out of the classroom and out of the building. We opened the front doors and were greeted with yelling and guns pointed at us, them assuming we were the bad guys.

I heard my mom yell at everyone to hold fire and search the building as we walked down the steps.

"Oh thank god you guys are okay!" My mom yelled as she ran up to us, embracing me in a tight hug.

"Y-yeah, we're fine" Ivan mumbled

My mom stepped away from us skeptically, "What happen? And how were you guys able to walk out of the building?" She asked

We stayed silent, the memory still racking through our brains.

"Who took them out?" She asked, "We got an anonymous call from the inside of the building that there were hostages. Since it wasn't you...who was it?" She asked, eyeing us all carefully.

Silence filled the air between us before Alix spoke, "...Marinette"

My mom's face went into shock.

*The Next Week*

*Marinette's POV*

I walked through the streets of Paris, breathing in the nice, cold, December air. The streets were silent as it was 1am. The only noise that was being made was from a few passing cars and my boots crunching in the snow.

Slowly, I scanned each store that I passed.

Christmas was in a week and a half and prices, like always, were going up. I was on the hunt for a DJ set for Nino and a recording studio set for Alya so she can work on her blogs. These were one of the hardest things to find as they were new on the market and were going quicker than you would expect. Luckily, I have more money than I know what to do with so I had no problem if I spent thousands on my friends...family.

It took every ounce of me not to go and run into school, or show myself when they walked by. I wanted to surprise them and make a huge celebration out of it. It stung more than I thought it would to see my friends walk by laughing in the park, not knowing that I was right next to them, silent, not saying a word, not even breathing for that matter because I feared I would scream if I did.

Stopping in my tracks, I turned my head towards one of the most popular electronic places in Paris. I remember Nino and Alya gushing over almost everything in the store, jealous that their treasure was sitting right in front of them but they couldn't afford it.

But I could.

I walked up to the door and pushed it open.

"Sorry, we're closing" a male's voice said as a bunch of people were putting stuff away.

"But you're open" I said, not fully looking at them.

"Yes but we are getting ready to go home" another voice responded.

"Do you have an A45 Soundboard with bass-boosted speakers?" I asked, ignoring the adults that desperately wanted to go home.

"Kid look, we just-" the man started

"I know, but this is important. I won't buy anything, I just need to know what you have. All I need is a yes or no. Now do you have an A45 Soundboard with base-boosted speakers?" I asked

"Yes, it's in the back" the man said

"What about the newest recording sets?" I asked while looking around, not daring to show my face.

"Those are at our store in the Paris Mall"

"Sapphire Light Pro computer?" I asked

"We're out of stock here but the Paris mall might have them"

"Okay. Thank you. I'll be back here at 11pm for the soundboard and speakers so please don't sell them. Have a nice night" I said and walked out of the store.

"You too!" I heard them exclaim as I walked out.

I huffed a breath out, white fog coming out of my mouth.

I can't wait for Christmas.
Man am I going to be busy.

But it's for them, so it's totally worth it.
