Ch. 14- More Murders

*Marinette's POV*

I walked into class, late as usual and got tackled by Alya who was screaming her head off, interrupting poor Miss B's class.

Eh like I care

"Thank god that wasn't a dream!!" Alya yelled

"Nope" I said, still on the floor

A cough iterrupted us, we looked up and found Miss B. staring at us.

"Girls please get up and into your seats"

"Yes Miss" we both said and sat down behind the boys

"Ok class back to the-"

The white screen came down over our board and the projector shown the news

Wow this was quick

The screen showed 1 family that was a wife and 3 children, the family was crying.

'Just this morning the Lest family woke up to something terrible. Apparently the serial killer struck again killing this family's husband/father'

Then the reporter switched stories over to the other 7 familes that I killed.

'Serial killer stuck again, killed her son who was a young man of 32'
'Serial killer back in action, killed father of 2'
'Serial killer ruining lives, killed boyfriend of an expecting one'

I held back a laugh

'Serial killer, killed 42 year old man'
'Serial killer, killed retired vet'

Whoops

'Serial killer, killed husband on anniversary'

Well then......

'Serial killer, killed father of 5'

I stared at the news in bordem but acted like I was interested. The projector went off and the screen went back up. The classroom was dead silent. No one talked or moved besides me with my head resting on my hand. I looked to my side and saw that Mylene and Alix were completely frozen with wide eyes.

"What the hell is wrong with people?" Alix said, breaking the silence

I could answer that

"That man's a monster" Rose said, the rest of the class still not speaking

It's not a man

"He needs to be stopped" Nino said

Again, it's not a man

"What kind of person would ever do that to their own kind? I mean really that is so disappointing" Adrien said while shaking his head and everyone agreed

Ouch, well I'm glad that I'm a disappointment to you all

"Once they find him they should give him the death penalty" Alya said a bit angry....everyone agreed

I don't know what to say.....I'm sorry

Everyone kept talking about the serial killer and not once did they even consider that someone that they know could be the killer. But here I am, sitting in a room with a bunch of my friends talking shit about me and not even knowing it.

"You've been silent this entire time Mari, shocked?" Alya asked

"Uhh y-yeah" I lied

"I can't help but think that one of us or our familes will be next" Nino said

That will never happen, I won't let it

"My Daddy will protect you Adrikins" Chloe said

"I don't need protection Chloe, if you guys haven't noticed the killer has only killed men not kids" Adrien said

"So then that means......." Mylene started

"No!! My daddy can't be killed!!" Chloe screamed

"What about my dad!?! I can't let my mom watch over my sisters alone!! I would have to be homeschooled and I wouldn't be able to see you guys!!" Alya rambled frantically

It won't happen

"What are we gonna do?" Juleka said

"Nothing" I said

Everyone turned towards me

"What do you mean Mari-trash?" Chloe hissed

"I mean we should all keep our minds off of it. We are all still alive and so are our familes. If we were to try and investigate or whatever it wouldn't go well because we would just be putting ourselves out there for the killer. I say we should let the police take care of this, they never let us down"

"Well as much as I want this guy to be found and killed, I agree with Mari" Alya said

Gee thanks bestie

Everyone agreed with me besides Chloe

"Well what about our superheros?" Chloe asked

"No way are we putting them in that kind of danger!!" Alix yelled

"They handle akumas not killers" Kim said

"Well-" Chloe started

"Class you guys can talk more about this at lunch now back to the lesson......" Miss B. interrupted
