After we got my room done I was pretty satisfied with the results.
I could tell Emily and Gabriel were trying to start off good and cheery for me but my mood wasn't the best. I was finally safe but that's just the problem.......I'm safe. I'm so used to never being noticed and being in danger all the time that this is just weird. I have never experienced this so I'll have to try my best to understand what the hell you are supposed to do.
I rolled out of my new room and stopped at the stairs. I looked down and shugged.
"Oh no you're not" Gabriel said from behind me
"It can't be that bad" I said as he rolled me slowly down the stairs
"Yes it would" he said and ruffled my hair, since it wasn't in pigtails, before leaving
I huffed and ran my fingers through my hair. I rolled myself into the kitchen where I found Emily cooking.
"Ohh whatcha makin'?" I asked
"Chicken, rice, and broccoli" she said while putting the broccoli in a pot
"Why?"
"It's dinner for all of us tonight, including you"
"Why me?"
"Because that's what parents do. Plus you missy need to eat, you are way underweight right now and it looks like you have more muscle than an actual body. When was the last time you ate?"
"Uhhh I don't know about 3 weeks" I guessed
"WHAT?!" Emily yelled while spinning around, "Oh dear lord no!" she said and walked over to the fridge and pulled out a container
"What is that?"
"Leftovers, you are eating right now. Here it's ribs, corn, and mashed potatoes" she said handing me the container after heating it up
"I don't think-"
"Just try......please Mari"
I sighed and took a bite of the mashed potatoes and I had to force myself to swallow it. It tasted so good but I was gagging half the time since I haven't eaten in so long but I managed. Emily watched me intently as I ate to make sure I wouldn't throw up.
"That was the best meal I've ever had" I said while raising my arms to put the container in the sink
"That wasn't a meal, that was a snack. Don't forget that this is your dinner too" she said while pointing to the pot
"Oh, okay"

"So what do you do for Christmas?" I asked while I was eating at the table, Emily and Gabriel were sitting across from me
"Lemme guess, you've never celebrated Christmas?" Emily asked
I nodded and she sighed sadly
"Well as you know, we have our Christmas party soon and other than that we decorate the whole house together, inside and out" Emily started
"Is it just you 3?"
"No we have everyone from your class here to help us and then a couple days later we have our Christmas party. For Christmas day, Gabriel is usually the one waking me up..........or the entire neighborhood to do presents. We all wear matching pjs and come down here and turn on music while unwrapping our presents. Then we invite everyone and their familes over for dinner still in out pjs" Emily finished with a smile
I was smiling as well. All my life I've wanted and wished for that to happen with me but I never go to do it. (Same here girl, same here. At least you get to do it)
"Do I get to do it?"
"Of course you do!! You get to do everything with us don't worry" they said and I smiled
"Emily and Gabriel, Adrien is on his way home if you want to hide Marinette" Nathalie said and we all shot up.......well I cleaned up my face and wheeled towards the stairs as they got up and cleaned the table.
I got to the stairs and Emily helped me up while Gabriel got the wheel chair. We got to my room and it was just me and Emily left.
"Do you need any help getting changed for bed?"
"No I'm good"
"Alright just be careful" she said and left, closing my door
I got changed into my pjs.........

I walked out of my bathroom and slowly got in bed. I wasn't going to sleep because it wasn't even night so I just sat there talking with Tikki.
"I miss Adrien"
"I know you do. Can't you go out and say that you're here?"
"Now why would I do that?"
"So you can be together. It might be a bit weird and you might have to tell him what has happened but you might as well tell him sooner than later"
"Ugh stop being so convincing" I groaned and she chuckled
