Ch. 29- Save Her

*Marinette's POV*

As much as I didn't want to, I had to go to school or else people would be getting on my ass but I knew otherwise. I know everyone is suspicious about what's going on with me and I know that Emily and Gabriel are on my ass.

Do I really care tho? I could be free if they were to save me......or they could get killed while trying to save me

I slowly got up and put on some thick black leggings and a really large black hoodie. I wore black because if I started bleeding through one of the cuts on my stomach that opened up last night or from my back then it wouldn't show. I already had wraps around my stomach and back but I wanted to be extra careful. I pulled the hood on and it covered my entire face which was fucked up. I had a bruised cheek, jaw, and eye while my lip was cut along with my cheekbone.

I got my bag and put on some boots. I made my bag more warm and cozy for Tikki since it's snowing out and snuck some cookies into my purse without my dad knowing. I still haven't eaten in the 2 and a half weeks but I don't really care, I would throw up anyway because I hardly can sneak food. I walked out the door and to school with my entire face covered with my hood.

When I got to school I passed Alya, Nino, and...Adrien. I wanted to go and cry in his arms. I wanted to tell him and my friends everything. I wanted to feel safe in his arms.....but I couldn't. I didn't want him to be with me. I'm a mess and I'm getting worse. He doesn't know how much he means to me and I hope he can forgive me one day.

I walked into class and sat in my seat. No one was there so I took out my water bottle that was the big liter one and took a couple gulps of the vodka I had in there instead of water. I couldn't make it through the whole day on just painkillers or any so I brought vodka with me. It's clear enough to be mistaken as water so why not? After I took a couple gulps and feeling the burning sensation in my throat, I popped a mint into my mouth not wanting to be discovered.

The bell rang and soon the classroom filled up. Eveyone looked at me weird since my hood was covering entire face but I could care less. Miss B. came in and started the lesson, ingnoring me for my hood to which I was glad.

"What's with the hood?" Alya whispered

"Not feeling it today" I mumbled

It was true, I wasn't feeling it. Infact I couldn't feel anything, I was numb from the alcohol and the many beatings I recieved in less then 24 hours.

"Oh! Adrien wants to talk to you at lunch" Alya whispered

I nodded, I don't think I'll be sober during lunch but okay.

After the classes ended I was half drunk from drinking my "water". It was now lunch and I moved very slow around the halls and was the only one left in them. I slid down the wall and chugged some of the vodka I kept secret for half the day. I wanted it all to end and I wanted to have a normal life.

"Hey Mari are you okay?" Kim asked

I slowly looked up him though my hood and nodded weakly

"Are you sure? You seem a bit off" Kim said a kneeled down but I backed away not wanting him the smell the alcohol on my breath

I nodded

"Say it" he said

"I'm fine" I whispered......bad idea

Kim's eyes went wide as he leaned towards me sniffing the air.

"Marinette why the hell do you smell like alcohol?" he asked worried

"I don't know what you're talking about" I said

"Fine if you aren't drinking then get up and walk down the hall in a straight line"

I got up and started to walk but I should've stayed down. I started swaying while holding my head and soon I was on the floor.

"Holy shit! Are you okay? How much did you drink?" Kim asked frantically while kneeling infront of me

"I just got up to fast" I lied

"Nice try. What the hell is going on with you?" Kim asked, "First you come in class smoking weed, expose your tattoos which I think are awesome, then you go and break up Adrien. What's going on?"

I didn't know what to say

"Mari please answer me" Kim said and reached out for me but I flinched out of reflex

"Mari?" Kim asked cautiously

I got up ignoring him and walked down the hall. Kim chased after me and spun me around causing me to wince and my hood to rise up. Before I could pull it back down, Kim took it and pulled it all the way up to reveal my entire face. Kim gasped and had wide eyes.

"Marinette what the hell happened to you?!" Kim shouted

"Nothing" I said and tried to walk away but stumbled when I felt dizzy

"Hey are you okay? Mari? Mari?!" Kim yelled but the world was spinning and it was spinning so fast it all went black.........
