Dreams are where whatever that is in your subconscious comes to life and Ezra's own did not make him any different as it made sure to remind him about the fight that he was in. He dreamt of the entire 'fight', or as it was properly viewed, a beat down. It played over and over in that isolated darkness that he could not escape. He could see and feel the blows of the Leviathan, over and over like a knife being plunged into the same wound constantly. Just when his body couldn't take it anymore he was dragged from his sleep suddenly causing him to sit up abruptly. He wiped the sweat off his forehead and fell back onto the bed and closer his eyes. He reopened them slowly and looked around the room that he was in. It was painted blue with a fireplace was situated in the furthest corner. A bookcase filled with books stood tall close to the bed he was in. Beside it was a desk with a laptop opened on it and a large window allowed him to look at the forest outside. Blood red silk sheets covered his body and he realized he was wearing a white t-shirt and Adidas pants. As he struggled to understand what was going on and where he was a slim figure appeared in the room carrying a small tray with tea and biscuits on it. It came out of the shadows and he discovered that it was a woman. She had long, black hair that showed her strong Indian descent, a straight nose, small lips, and big grey eyes. It was obvious that she was a mere human and would be easy prey to find out why he was here. He closed his eyes when he saw that she was coming over to him and he heard her put the tray down and he felt when she reached out her hand hesitantly to touch his face. He grabbed her hand and she let out a frightened scream. Ezra's face morphed once again but this time slowly as he was still in a bit of pain and he swung her around then bit into her neck which earned another scream but this time one of terror. The taste of her blood was refreshing but it was short-lived as he felt the burn. He let her go instantly as he felt like fire was in his mouth and his head. He fell back on the bed clutching for breath and the human quickly ran out of the room with a panic-stricken expression.

After a few minutes, another woman walked in, this one was a vampire as the death could be smelt on her. She was tall, had short black hair with loose curls, dark eyes, blood-red lips, medium breasts, and medium ass along with a slim waist and thick thighs. She was dressed in a black tank top, black skinny jeans, and black converse. She looked at him and asked,

"So, you're awake? Who are you and why were you at the Leviathan's keep?"

"What did you... Why am I here?" Ezra asked confused as the pain from the woman's blood began to subside.

"Oh," she laughed, "I have a witch that brews a remedy that I feed my employees. I cannot have my guests feeding on the help. Good help is hard to find nowadays. Also, to answer your question as to why you are here you have to answer mine, who are you and why were you at the Leviathan's keep?"

"My name is Ezra Overland and I went there for personal matters."

"Ezra Overland, the famous tribrid that everyone deems an abomination? If I remember correctly you've been going around killing my kind to get answers about your mother."

Ezra looked at the vampire in front of him and asked, "Who are you and why did you save me?"

"Lexia Scarlet, Vampire Princess, and I saved you because I found your situation interesting. No one gets out of the leviathan's keep alive but for some reason, you were alive when you came out and that sparked my interest."

"Well thanks for saving me but I have to go. I must return to the Leviathans to get some answers," he got up ready to leave but she stopped him.

"In case you haven't noticed, you're unwell and I'm sure they won't spare you this time," she declared defiantly as she stood in the doorway.

" I honestly don't want to fight you, so you'd do well to get out of my way."

She punched where the spike had pierced his skin and he barely managed to dodge it. It seemed he was still weak from the fight which made it easier for her to tackle him to the floor and stab him with a tranquilizer. Before he blacked out again he rolled her over onto her back and pinned her down to the floor and whispered playfully in her ear, "That the best you got?"

She smiled at him then headbutted him causing Ezra to become distracted and he held his head as he felt the tranquilizer take effect. She sat on top of him and stared into his eyes,

"I got a lot more," and she held his head and hit in on the floor which knocked him out finally.

Lexia smiled when she got off Ezra. He was cute and she did not want to beat him up too much, but he wanted to walk into a death trap, and she couldn't have that. She took off his shirt after she put him back in the bed and changed his bandage. She had to admit to herself that she liked what she saw when she took off his shirt. He had smooth skin, but it was slightly flawed by the hole that was very obvious in his side. She could tell it had started to heal but the Leviathan's spike that pierced his skin had been laced with a deadly poison that was lethal to humans, so she did not let her servant, Mary, touch it. Mary had helped her to bandage his side though and she also had to bandage Mary's neck because he bit her, and his bite was also lethal to humans. Lexia shook her head in dismay as she thought to herself how fragile humans really were. After they were done Mary left to go make dinner and Lexia took a shower.

An hour later, Ezra awoke to find himself half-naked and he wondered if Lexia had done something to him. He eased himself into a sitting position and looked around at himself to see if everything was in order. He studied the bandage on his side and lifted it slowly. His skin was completely healed and there was no longer a mark there. Upon touching the spot, a flash passed through his mind reminding him of the spike that had pierced through his skin and how it drained him of all his energy instantly. A smile crawled up his lips when he remembered his first interaction with Lexia and how she was such a fiery spirit. His hearing picked up the sound of the shower running, and he decided to explore who was in there.
Lexia stood in the shower deep in thought as thoughts of Ezra rampaged in her mind. His name rang in her head as the water rushed down her face and she ran her hands over her breasts as she imagined his body close to hers and the things they could be doing right now. She bit her lip and a small drop of blood ran down her chin and she retracted her elongated fangs. She shook herself out of the imagination and quickly showered then dried herself with the towel.
Ezra saw Lexia come out and wrap herself in a towel and he hid behind the door watching her dry her hair and she smiled which meant she knew he was there. She had felt him staring at her through the door and she felt the heat rise in her cheeks which made her smirk. She decided to tease him, and his heart rate quickened when she walked towards him at the door and pulled him close to her, so close that they were merely an inch apart. His heart started to pound so loud, he knew for sure that she had heard it. He leaned forward to kiss her, he could not resist, but his lips only met the door. He opened his eyes and laughed to himself as he walked away.

Approximately fifteen minutes later she came out in her towel and walked past him to go in her closet. She took out a black off-shoulder dress and black slippers. She slowly put them on and placed her medallion around her neck and spoke to him, "There are some clothes in the other closet over there, so shower, get dressed and come down for dinner," and then she walked out the room and down the stairs.
