Dylan walked into the room that Isis was located and stalked closer to her sleeping form. He didn't understand the idea of a mate as there was no record of Death having a mate so how did he get one? He gently caressed her cheek as he watched her chest rise and fall suggesting that she was in a deep sleep. She was certainly beautiful but her temper would fuel a lot of future arguments. Isis slowly stirred and opened her eyes to see Dylan, she smiled and for a moment everything was peaceful, that was until she realized that she did not want him. She brushed his hand away and got up from her sleeping position abruptly,

"What the hell are you doing in my room?"

"I just came to see how you are," Dylan answered honestly.

Isis felt a bit of remorse, maybe she was too hard on him but she really did not want to hurt him. "Dylan, please leave my room. I do not wish to look at you."

"But why?" Dylan asked, "You've all but made your mind up about me and you haven't even given me a chance to prove myself to you. Why won't you accept the fact that we are mates? I refuse to leave unless you tell me why."

The nerve of this man Isis thought to herself as she stared at his pale face. She had politely asked him to leave but he wouldn't and he dared to question her. Her eyes immediately flared up turning completely blue and the bowl on the table with the water started to shake vigorously. She grabbed his throat and with a great force flung him in the wall which shook upon impact. Dylan eased up off the wall just in time as she started a spell to make the wall melt. He threw a dark ball of flame towards her, not to hurt her but to knock her off balance. The ball of fire hit her and she fell to the ground and she used her hand to control the water in his body and twisted her hand which caused Dylan's hand to snap and break. Anger vibrated through his body he lunged at her pinning her to the ground with the good hand that he had. He held her throat and told her to calm down hoping whatever mate link was there would help. Her eye color slowly receded back to her normal color and Dylan slowly got off her. Isis stared at him with a hint of anger still present but when she noticed his hand she tried to help but he pushed her away.

"Stay away from me, you all but damaged my fucking hand because I tried to talk to you about the mate bond that we share. I mean I understand that you don't want a mate and truth be told neither do I but at least I'd never hurt you intentionally."

Dylan got up angrily and was about to storm out of her room but she held his hand and their eyes interlocked.

"I'm sorry," was all she said before she snapped his broken hand into place. She held it and closed her eyes then opened them and they were blue again. Dylan felt the bone in his hand move and it returned to its normal form. Isis's eyes returned to their original color and she smiled at him. Dylan marveled at his hand and muttered,

"Thank you."

She looked down and he held her chin up and brushed her curly hair from her face and stared into her eyes that held remorse. Dylan felt the sparks between them that were struggling to get free and he pulled her closer to him so that there was no space left between them. He entangled his fingers in her hair and lowered his lips to kiss the side of her lips playfully and was surprised when she granted him access. Her lips felt warm and he slowly kissed her. He explored her mouth with his tongue and their tongues fought for dominance. They pulled apart and took shaky, shallow breaths; he looked into her eyes and then to her lips and smiled. Dylan felt as if he had waited too long to long to kiss her but it was worth it. He pulled her into another fiery and passionate kiss. Her hands found their way around his waist, feeling each crevasse and trailing them as though she had always known its structure.

He slowly moved with her towards the bed and lay her on her back gently as he hovered over her. He leaned in again and this time his body matched her body's form. His hands ventured over her curved body, exploring and smiling into the kiss. They stopped kissing and stared at each other, deep into each other's eyes with Isis's eyes being full of curiosity and passion.

Dylan woke up with the sun peaking behind the clouds and discovered he was still in Isis's room. He tried to roll over but he was stuck. He looked down to see her sleeping form cuddled up to his chest. Dylan smiled, he could get used to this, waking up to her beautiful face. He tried to slide out of the bed but her grip tightened, man was she strong he thought.

"Dylan," Isis purred and smiled in her sleep and Dylan could not hold back his chuckle which resulted in her getting up with a shocked look on her face.

"Did we umm?" she asked with a slight blush across her cheek.

Dylan chuckled at her facial expression, "Umm what Isis?"

"Don't play games with me Dylan you know what I mean."

"I haven't the faintest idea sweets," he replied slyly.

She looked at him and a smirk played on her lips which made Dylan regret testing her. Isis straddled him and looked into his eyes and pulled her bra throwing it to the side of the room giving her perky breasts air in her large t-shirt and he couldn't help but draw in a deep breath.

The door burst open to reveal a shocked Lexia, "Get up love birds Ezra wants to talk to you two."

Isis got off Dylan slowly and whispered in his ear, "We will continue this discussion later."

They both walked out of the room and into Ezra's room. Isis mentally shook her head; Ezra's room was a drama magnet.

"Okay guys so I know this sounds weird but I know where my mother is," Ezra started, hoping his companions would agree with him to storm his grandfather's castle.

Dylan looked at him and said, "Okay so where is she? Is she near my father?"

"I would think that they both would be in King Python's Castle. Does anyone know where his castle is?"

"I know where it is," stated Lexia, "We can't go there without a plan though because it is heavily guarded. He has a weapon of mass destruction that he calls the cure and trust me, tribrid or not, you cannot beat it."

"Well, it's a risk I have to take. What is this cure though?" he asked.

"Well according to the locals, it's a creature that has killed many, and touching it will automatically cause death. No one knows for sure what it looks like but anyone who is taken never survives," she answered.

"Well that doesn't tell us much," scoffed Isis.

"Be that as it many we must be careful. So here's the plan...."
