Ezra was to now be the new king of the kingdom but something still felt unsettling to him. His mate came and went as she felt and this bothered him. He needed to make her his one way or the other but he couldn't think of anything. The day of his coronation was two weeks away and he spent most of his time overseeing the renovations to the castle while Khadeen designed it. Dylan had moved into the hotel with everyone else as they waited for the castle to be finished and Ezra would be crowned king. He would be the new King of Supernaturals and he and Khadeen along with Dylan and Isis had made the supernatural council. He had also asked Despero and his grandmother to join the council which they agreed. He also spent his time listening to the problems of the people and building modern homes for them. He built a college and high schools along with businesses and Dylan moved his business headquarters to their city.

The buildings were all finished within one week and Ezra got ready to make the biggest decision of his life aside from being King. He was going to marry his hot-headed, fire breathing mate, provided she says yes to his engagement tonight.

Khadeen flew into the balcony of her and Ezra's bedroom and transformed into her human form. Her skin glistened in the night as her scales receded from her skin and her brown eyes scanned their room until they rested on the man that had captured her heart and managed to make her feel so alive whenever he touched her with his heated fingers. He had so much control over her but he didn't know it. She smiled when she saw him and slowly strode over to him. Ezra embraced Khadeen in a hug and they smiled into each other's arms, being in his arms always made her feel safe regardless of being the most powerful dragon alive. He kissed her cheek and she smiled,

"How was your evening love?" he asked.

"It was good, can't complain. The city is now finished and I opened it so the people are getting settled. I'll be opening a new hotel here in a month so everyone should be fine."

"That sounds like a lot of work. My day was good by the way, thanks for asking though."

Khadeen pulled away from the hug and laughed while Ezra remained serious but after watching her laugh he couldn't help but laugh too. Ezra stopped laughing and held her in front of him but she looked away.

"Khadeen, I'm in love with you, always have been and always will be. The moment I knew you belonged to me I was stunned because I couldn't believe you would be mine." Ezra got down on one knee and Khadeen looked at him stunned,

"Ezra what are you doing?"

"What I should've done the moment I met you. Khadeen Johnson you are a pain in my ass but I love that about you. When I thought you died I realized I couldn't live without you. Khadeen please marry me," said Ezra while holding her hands and staring her in the eyes.

"I... I don't know what to say," replied a shocked Khadeen.

"A yes would be nice you know, being in this position too long is quite a hassle."

Khadeen laughed and then said yes. Ezra got up and lifted her in the air while they both laughed.

**********

It was the day of the new King's wedding and everyone had traveled from far and wide to see the wedding of their new king and queen. Khadeen awoke to an empty bed and she felt relieved and sad at the same time, mainly because she didn't like waking up to someone and the fact that she wasn't fond of not waking up to Ezra. She heard a knock on the door and rolled out of bed putting her braids into a messy bun. She opened the door to see Isis with a bright smile plastered on her face and Khadeen started giggling. They had become best friends in the short time they had known each other and it was going well.
