As he ran through the bushes of the unknown place Dylan tried to keep a steady head but it was proving to be difficult with the thought of the men gaining on him and he wasn't sure he wanted to find out what they wanted with him. Thorns scratched at his arms and face, loose branches tore at his clothes and shrubs bruised his legs. He looked back with a panic stricken expression then turned around and a branch swung from out of nowhere that hit him in the face so hard that he fell to the damp ground blacking out.
"What should I do with him madam?" her assistant Jake asked.

"Take him up and bring him in the guest room." Lexia replied in an uninterested tone.

Jake then rushed off after receiving his order which left her alone to think.

"Why do I keep finding these strange men? Do I have a thing for strange men?" These questions kept piercing her thoughts leaving her lost in the world. She had to admit that the back of her property was a bit cut off from the world and it was nothing strange that strange persons often showed up on her land and she usually had Jake chase them off. She didn't mind it though as she often had a regular quick meal. She walked towards her garden and stopped, she wasn't sure if she should continue her walk or she should go back and question this stranger. She heard panting behind her and she turned around slowly to see who it was. She came face to face with four tall men dressed in full black as if they were working with men in black.

"May I help you, gentlemen?" Lexia asked with a raised eyebrow.

The shortest of the men stepped forward and stated, "We're looking for a young man that may have stumbled onto your property not too long ago. Have you seen him?"

"What exactly do you want with this man?" she asked.

"That doesn't matter", one of them said strongly, "answer the question, have you seen him or not?" he seemed to be angry.

"You'd do well with your tone young man as you are trespassing on private property." She looked at them from head to toe and said with finality in her tone, "I believe it is time for you to leave." They noticed that she would be of no use to them so they left.

Ezra had seen Jake bringing in the strange man and he wondered where he had come from and if his situation had been similar to his and he too was searching for something. His inner witch, Michael, told him exactly what to do as he guided Ezra to the garden and he picked what necessities he would need and put on a pair of gloves. Ezra made the medicine for the unconscious man and gave it to him then left him to rest as the man kept regaining and losing consciousness. Ezra heard Lexia from a distance and he walked to the door to open it for her but she opened it and gave him a distasteful look so he immediately moved out of the way to give her a pass.

"Well she looks pissed," Michael said.

Lexia walked into the room where the young man was just coming out of another state of unconsciousness.

"Who are you?"

"Dylan," he said, "where am I?"

"Well, Dylan you are at my house. My name is Lexia, Lexia Scarlet. How is it that you came by this property?"

"I ... I don't really remember. All I can remember is running."

"Dylan I have a very serious question to as..."

"Can it wait? He is very weak and the medicine I gave him hasn't taken much effect yet."

Lexia turned around in anger at Ezra for daring to interrupt her and she slapped him in the face which led Jake to let out a huge laugh then shutting up as she glared at him. "Don't interrupt me when I ..."

The feeling of the slap in her face came as a shock when he retaliated. "Listen here Miss Scarlet, I gave him medicine and he needs to rest. While this might be your house I am currently caring for him and you will do what I say when it comes to him", and with that Ezra walked out of the room leaving Lexia speechless. Ezra walked into the garden to sit down but he lay down on the bench instead and closed his eyes. He felt a strong grip on his chest and he was sent flying to the other side of the garden. He opened his eyes just before he landed and caught onto a branch. Lexia raced towards him and he dodged her refusing to hit her again.

"What the hell is wrong with you?"

"How dare you lay your hand on me and in my own house? Are you mad?" she screamed at him.

Ezra stood on the bench looking at her fuming and shook his head, if he didn't silence her then she would do something drastic. He sighed and sought the advice of his inner powers on what to do,

"Kiss her until she is dizzy," replied the darkness. Ezra smirked internally and walked over to Lexia while she threw anything she could find.

He grabbed her arms and held them behind her. She felt the rush of helplessness, the sinking yielding, the surging tide of warmth that left her limp. He bent back her head across his arm, leaned in then kissed her, softly at first, and then with a swift gradation of intensity, she clung to him as the only solid thing in a dizzy swaying world. His insistent mouth was parting her shaking lips, sending wild tremors along her nerves, evoking from her sensations she had never known she was capable of feeling. Then before a swimming giddiness spun her round and round, she knew that she was kissing him back. He then let her go and walked out of the garden.
