Ezra decided to stay at Lexia's place after dinner with the intention of getting to know her better. He thought it necessary since she had saved his life. He discovered that she is a vampire princess who traveled the world and sought to build an empire the way her grandmother had done. Ezra had recognized her grandmother's name as his grandfather had told him stories of a vampire queen who was feared by many. She also informed him that the lady he had grabbed was her personal assistant. Ezra had listened intently as she told him about herself in skimpy detail. He picked up on the fact that she was reluctant to share certain information but that was fine with him because he kept certain details of his life hidden from everyone.
Ezra retired to bed at about nine, but he struggled to fall asleep because it was like every fiber in his body was no longer comfortable in this bed and he just couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. When he finally fell asleep it was like he was thrown into a lush green plain field with only one tree in the faraway distance. There was a sort of comfort to the place at first and then the sky drastically changed from sky blue to dark and an ominous breeze caused Ezra to feel a shiver to his core. It was so dark that he could barely see despite all his powers, but the tree seemed to glow with a mysterious light and he stumbled towards it slowly. The closer he walked to the tree the more the weather became aggressive; the sky brightened on occasion with the flash of lightning and thunder rumbled in the distance. Ezra drew his collar closer to his neck and proceeded closer to the tree and upon reaching he stopped dead in his tracks when he saw it. There under the tree was a creature crouched over; its hair looked like it had fallen out in bulk pieces and left only small patches here and there. It had small black beady eyes and a hunched back that was bigger than normal. It had no neck and wore a black shawl. Its nails were almost a foot long and were black."What the fuck is that?" shrieked Alrick, Ezra's inner wolf.
Ezra did not know what it was, but something felt different about the thing that stood under the tree. It seemed to be keeping the tree alive with its essence, but it was also emitting dark energy into the air. There was something familiar about it but his thoughts were interrupted when it coughed just so it showed that it knew he was there.
"Hello Ezra," it spoke in a bone-chilling voice that caused Ezra's hair at the back of his neck to stand.
"How did you know my name?" he asked it slowly as he feared that this thing could murder him, and he couldn't do anything.
The creature merely chuckled at him and began to speak in a low voice that crackled on occasion as if its throat was fighting against the words. It started its story and Ezra could do nothing but sit on the grass that was surprisingly comfortable and listen.************
Long ago there were two kingdoms, the Kingdom of Overland and the Kingdom of Sterling. They were always at war, werewolves, and vampires and even though the Vampire King was strong, the Werewolves were winning. With this knowledge, the Vampire King had become fearful for the life of his only daughter and so he sent her away to be safe so that upon his demise and the end of the war she would return and rebuild his kingdom. However, on her journey away from the castle the princess's caravan was attacked by rogue werewolves. In the midst of the heist, a young werewolf that was passing by heard the commotion and interrupted the attack. He injured the rogue werewolves and sent them away but upon further investigation he found everyone to be dead. Sighing in defeat he opted to walk away but he was attacked; in a swift moment though he held his attacker by their hand and threw them on the ground. Upon further examination of his attacker he was shocked to see a vampire girl.
"Who the hell are you?" His first instinct was to kill her and he would have had it not been for him thinking it through. The wolves had to have attacked this caravan for a reason.
"You killed my men, you savage!" she spoke in a high British accent and spat in his face. It was clear that she did not know he was her mate.
He took a rag out of his pocket and wiped his face then smirked, "I should expect a thank you since I just saved your life."
