Your POV

It was a lot to unpack since it was just my birthday. Seeing my dad again wasn't as dramatic as I expected it to be and finding my mother's identity wasn't as uplifting as I thought it was going to be either.

Finding her, however, did give me some closure, but not a lot. All I knew was her passport said which was her name, birthday, age, nationality and a picture off her. I couldn't bring myself to look at a picture of her yet.

Name: Mizuko Kame
Date of Birth: May 17, 1987
Age: 31
Nationality: Japanese-American

I stopped scrolling and closed the screen. I should be more worried about final exams but I really just don't have the motivation of being a hero.

Aizawa knocked on my door. "Breakfast is ready." He informed me.

"I'll be down in a sec." I replied.

Aizawa determined that we had covered enough in Remedial Heroism 101. So now my free period was finally a free period.

I sat alone by the window. I looked out to take in the view. Someone else's presence was in the general area. I turned around to see someone I didn't recognize. He didn't smile, he looked an awful lot like Aizawa just with purple hair, and he wore the school's uniform so I assumed he was a student.

"Hey." He said in a low, even tone.
"Hi." I responded.

"So what are you doing?" He asked.

"I was looking at the window before I was rudely interrupted." I replied, finally averting my eyes from the window and looking at him.

"Fair enough," he chuckled lightly at my remark and stood next to him averting his eyes to the window, I did the same. He spoke again, "Mr. Aizawa thought it would be a good idea to talk to you, something about you not wanting to be a hero. Don't worry he didn't give me details, just that I should motivate you. The name's Shinso Hitoshi, by the way."

"Chizome (F/n)." I said.

"(F/n)," he said using my first name which made the conversation feel more comfortable, "I'm not going to lie to you. When they first said that the Hero Killer: Stain's daughter was attending U.A I though it was a bad idea. Not because of who your father was but because I didn't think you should be forced to do anything that you didn't want to do you know. Like I bet adapting is hard enough as it is."

"Yeah, you definitely got that right." I answered.

"So I think if you really don't want to be a hero... don't, you shouldn't do anything because you feel like you have to. But I think if you making your decision purely on what others think of you or who your father is, then that's stupid. You're not your father, you are not your mother, you are you... Chizome (F/n), choose who you want to be. If you want to be nurse, police officer, teacher, engineer then be a nurse, police officer, teacher, engineer. Hell, if you want to be a potato be a potato... Then again that's just my opinion, you do what you want."

I took in everything he was saying. He was right for the most part, and the potato part made me laugh just a bit. Damn Aizawa, always being a good guardian and knowing what to do. I decided to talk to Hitoshi for just a bit.
