Chapter Thirty Seven - Communication

I know. I know I disappeared for a while. Sorry, guys but I'm finally back and hopefully this time actually regularly. If you're interested in my disappearance I kind of explained in my rant book.

Anyways I made a recap so you wouldn't have to read the last chapter again.

Previously on Identity:

(F/n) wanted to start fixing her relationship with Shoto and confronted Katsuki about it.

"Hey, I appreciate you always being here for me. But I really need to be who Shoto needs me to be." (F/n) said to Katsuki. "So this can't happen anymore."

(F/n) almost told Shoto the truth about her and Katsuki.

"Peppermint, I need to talk to you about something that um," (F/n) admitted. This what it, she was going to tell him. She wanted to fix this.

His phone continually began to ding. "Sorry," he checked his phone.

"What's wrong?" (F/n) asked.

"It's Natsuo. Fuyumi, she's in the hospital. She got caught in a car accident. Please, come with me to the hospital?" He said.

Unfortunately, (F/n) took the anger she felt towards herself and put it on Shoto.

"I don't want to be here. Shoto, I'm not a Todoroki. This is your family, not mine. I shouldn't even be here, right now. I don't understand why you drag me into your family business. I almost never drag you into mine. First, it's experiencing your dad's hate, then, it's seeing your mom, then, it's being included in every single fucking family issue. Don't you think I have enough shit to deal with on my own? Now, I'm dealing with mine and yours and every single Todoroki on this goddamn planet." (F/n) yelled at him.

Shoto looked at her with his eyes slightly widened in shock. "If you didn't want to come all you had to do was say so. It's fine. I won't bring you into my family issues anymore." He told me. "I'm sorry."

Right when, (F/n) started fixing things with Shoto...

Todoroki spoke, "No, of course not. I could never be mad at you."

"I'm sorry," I repeated.

"It's okay, just tell me you're feeling better now."

"I'm feeling better now." I said. I placed my head on his chest.

... Kirishima confronted (F/n) on what he saw between Bakugo and her that night.

Kirishima spoke, "I always thought you were this really cool, honest chick but this changes a lot of things. I won't tell him, but you can't hang out with Bakugo anymore. I don't want to be put in your facade."

Because of the stress of everything, (F/n) opted out of going to the hospital with Shoto which placed another rift in their relationship. He decided to call things off for a while.

Shoto: Hey, I've been thinking. I hate to do this over text but I figured this was the only way you weren't going to freak out on me. I think for the next week or so. I'm going to give you some space. I think it'll be better for the both of us if we had some time apart. Give both of us some time to get ourselves together.
