"It's been a while since we talked."
I awkwardly looked around my room, biting my bottom lip.
"Yea, it has." I agreed.
"I've really missed you, but I understand. You know, with everything that went down.. I still can't believe that Chase-" She cut herself off and shook her head. "And then Hayden.."
"Can we please not talk about him?" I ask.
"Oh, um, yea.. I'm sorry.. So how have you been?"
I sigh out and go back to staring at my wall.
It had been four weeks since I got the call. And Grace has been coming by for the last week.
I shrug as her answer and wrap my arms around myself.
"You?" I ask, trying to be nice even though I wanted her to go so I could be alone.
"I've been okay. I just.. I know we don't talk about Hayden.. But I think you should. I've been coming for a week, and you still haven't mentioned him."
I clench my teeth and look down at my cut up, raw wrists before shaking my head. "I can't, Grace. Please just drop it."
She sighs and nods before rubbing my shoulder lightly. "I need to be going.. My mom wanted me to help out at the shop today."
"I'll see you later." I whisper.
"Yea, I'll come by tomorrow or the next day.. I love you, Isobel. Be strong, you'll get through this."
I just nod and watch as she leaves my room, closing the door behind her.
I look back at my wall and blink a few times before screaming as loud as I could.
It felt nice to scream; it took all my frustration and anger away for a little bit.
I stood up and paced around in my pajamas that were getting too big on me. I hadn't eaten very much these past four weeks, and I knew I had lost at least ten pounds.
"Isobel, you stupid girl. Get the hell over it. Hayden wouldn't want you to be this way, so stop it! Go outside! Do something for God's sake, just do anything." I rant to myself, pinching the bridge of my nose.
I held my head as a wave of dizziness overtook my body.
That had been happening a lot lately. Maybe it was because I barely ate, or because of the stress I felt all the time.
Black dots blurred my vision and I held onto my desk, breathing deeply.
"You need to eat something, Isobel." I tell myself sternly.
I make my way to the door and almost fall over, but I hold myself up on the door.
"Just take some deep breaths, and calm down. You're okay, you're fine."
I finally gained enough energy after about five minutes of hanging onto the door and I walked to the staircase.
The black dots were getting darker and bigger, and the sides of my vision were blacking out.
I groaned and held my head as another huge wave of dizziness overtook me.
It's never gotten this bad, and I was getting pretty worried. I needed to get to my phone, which I stupidly left downstairs this morning when I got a few grapes to eat, so I could call my mom or maybe even Grace. She couldn't be that far away, could she?
I took a few steps and my eyes rolled back. I fell down the stairs and my vision turned black, making me lose consciousness.
