Welp. Here I was. Siting in photography class. I was plotting ways to get him to talk.
"You know.. It's not nice to ignore people.. Hey.. I'm talking to you. Can you hear me? Don't you talk?" I asked, growing aggravated.
A small smirk appeared on his face. It was so small, that I wasn't sure it was really there.
I groaned and sank into my chair, giving up. My lungs were running out of air.
RING RING RING
I gathered my things, standing up. The bell loved me, I swear. It always seemed to know when to ring.
I walked out the door after saying goodbye to ms. Casey and walked down the hall. I stopped at my locker, looking for the shirt that I knew wasn't there. I was just kinda hoping that the locker fairy would out clothes in my locker. But no.. That would be ridiculous. That was the clothes fairy's job.
I closed my locker, shaking my head. I was so weird.
"Isobel!" I turned just in time to have Grace jump on me.
I tried to keep balance. I really did. But my clumsy self, plus having another person on me, made me fall. I groaned, and my face turned red as I heard snickers as people walked by.
"Sorry!" Grace yelled as she got up. She pulled me up and bounced from foot to foot.
"Alright. Your either on crack, or your on crack." I laughed lightly.
"Oh shut up. But seriously! Remember Jacob Fisher?" She asked, a grin taking over her face.
I nodded.
"He asked me out! He was all 'hey there! Date, you, me.' And then I was all 'yea sure!' And he was a guy and I was a girl.. It was perfect!" She squealed, hitting my arm.
I raised an eyebrow. "Well I would hope you were a girl.. We've shared bras. You better be a girl."
"Seriously, Iz? That's all you got from that?" She asked, annoyed.
"No no I'm sorry.. I'm happy for you! When's this date?" I asked, starting to walk down the hall.
"This Saturday. We're gonna go see a movie then grab some pizza." She smiled, looking down.
I smiled slightly and opened my mouth to say something. But before I could-
"Ow!" I groaned, rubbing at my arm that hit the ground. "Hey! Watch where your going!" I yelled, getting up from the floor.
"Baby! I've been looking for you!"
I winced and looked up to see Chase. He didn't look happy..
"Sorry.. What do you need, Chase?" I smile slightly, biting my lip nervously in the process.
"What? A boyfriend can't just see his girlfriend?" He asked, daring me to talk back with his eyes.
I sigh and look from Grace and back to Chase.
"Your right. I'm sorry, Chase."
Something I've learned is to not fight back.. It just results in him hurting me.
He nodded happily. "That's okay. So you want me to walk you to your next class?" He asked, eyes looking everywhere but me. And when I say everything, I mean other girls.
I grit my teeth together, fists curling up at my sides.
I hated this. I looked at one guy just to say hi, and I get hit. But he can drool over girls in front of me?
This relationship was screwed up enough as it is."No thank you. I'm good. Bye, Chase." I tried to keep my voice emotion free. It luckily worked.
His head turned to me again and he shrugged.
"Alright, babe. I'll see you later." And then he walked off.
