The Rematch

Looks like we are back with another soccer game. This is the replay of Flowers Academy vs Mushroom High. They are playing at Flowers arena. Djhon arrived at his old school with his new team. He was managing for the first time. His team were really confident that they could win this game.

They all went into the changing rooms to get ready. The line up was the same as last time. "Mario, Waluigi, Yoshi and Troops, a word please?" Djhon said.

The four teens came over. "Alright, you four will be the main attackers. You need to make sure you are clinical on goal. Believe me, chances that Flowers couldn't take in the last match they definitely will take in this match. I'm saying this now, all years in this school have been unbeaten at home for 5 years in a row. The last time they lost at home was in the year above in 2013, and that was in a penalty shootout. If we win this we make history. Come on guys!"

They warmed up at the Flowers field. The crowd were there looking really intimidating and the cheers were chanting already. This game seemed promising and hopefully Mushroom high school can deliver.

The match was due to start on 5 minutes. Djhon gave his team a team talk. "Ok team, we have to be clinical, we need to make sure we defend well. Yoshi, I know I'm one of your good friends but you need to step it up today. Last game you didn't really get the ball that often but it's ok. Boo, you are on the bench. Welcome to the team! I'll put you on at half time. Let's go Mushroom High!"

Mario went up to the Flowers captain and shook hands with him. The game was due to start. Flowers Academy vs Mushroom High this was gonna be a good one.

Flowers are kicking off. The ref blows his whistle the crowd cheer on as the game starts. Flowers attacked immediately as the number 8 through balls to a number 10 and he dribbles into the box, gives it to the number 9 and shoots which Morton saves. Morton passed it down to Toad as Toad clears it.

5 minutes later Flowers have been the better team but Mushroom High have an opportunity now as Yoshi has the ball as he switches play to Waluigi as Waluigi dribbles it near the box and back heels it to Mario. Mario with an outside foot shot. OH ITS IN! What a goal from outside the box from Mario. The team are cheering. Djhon is cheering. What a goal. They never looked like scoring but they have now.

Its Flowers Academy 0-1 Mushroom High. Has this changed the tempo of the game?

Mushroom High have increased their confidence and Yoshi attacks it again. He goes for one himself. The goalie saves it. He boots one far down the pitch as the number 9 runs past Toad and he I one on one with Morton. He goes for the the chip. HE HITS THE BAR. Mushroom high sigh of relief. That was a close one.

5 minutes left till the first half is over and the number 10 for flower makes and excellent through ball to the number 7 and it's 3 vs 2. The number 7 passes it to the number 9 up front who passed it left inside the box to the number 11. It's a first time shot far corner. GOAL!! He hits the post and scores. Flowers Academy 1-1 Mushroom High. That's the way to end the half. The Flowers cheerleaders do something unexpected. This really shocked the Mushroom High team.

"So this is what Djhon was worried about!" Mario said to Waluigi.

"Yep!" Waluigi said.

It was half time. It was 1 a piece as Djhon quickly got his team drinks of water.

"Great job in that first half. It was just the last 5 minutes where there were problems. I told you that those cheerleaders were horrible. I just hope we don't go behind. Mario! Outstanding finish with you right foot. You also had a few good shots on goal with your left as well. Yoshi, you have really stepped up. Waluigi, doing well as always. Now I need to tell you another thing. Flowers have never ever conceded 3 goals at this area. And I mean EVER. And they haven't conceded 2 for 3 years in a row. We can be the first team to do that. Let's go team.

The next half began. Flowers were dominant for 5 minutes. The number 10 takes the ball from inside the box. He fake shots one and two then makes a shot into the far corner and SCORES! That's the goal that puts them ahead. That's the goal that Djhon had feared for a LONG time. Flowers Academy 2-1 Mushroom High. The crowd celebrate! The cheerleader take it 1 step further! Now the Mushroom High team feel so insulted. They want to change things around. This is something Djhon has never seen before. "Comon team lets respond!"

5 minutes later Flowers nearly went 3-1 up. They shot a deadly free kick which Morton parried out. Now Captain Toad kicks it out and Mario gets the ball wide to Yoshi. Yoshi sprints past the defender. He passed it into the box for. Waluigi to tap in. HE SCORES! Mushroom High are back in it. Flowers Academy 2-2 Mushroom High. "Great play team! Comon, if we get a third, history is made!"

Mushroom High were really at it now. Waluigi gets the ball on the right wing and the defender makes a tackle. ITS A FOUL. Free kick to Mushroom High. Mario stood over the ball to take a free kick. Boo came on as a sub and he replaces Troops. Mario delivers into the box. BOO HEADS IT INTO THE NET!! It's another goal and the team go crazy, Djhon has gone crazy. Mushroom High have made history. With his first touch of the ball. Boo HEADS in a third. Flowers have conceded 3 goals for the first time EVER at their home. It's Flowers Academy 2-3 Mushroom High. This could be history.

Flowers were trying hard to get back in it. Morton had saved 3 shots at once. He now throws it to Captain Toad. He gives it down to Toad. Toad makes a back pass but the Flowers number 9 get the ball and dinks it over the keeper. It's 3-3. The crowd roar as they are back in it.

"TOAD!" Djhon shouted fuming. "WHY DID YOU BACKPASS! THERE WAS NO NEED!"

Toad felt guilty as he gave away a soft goal. The dominance that they had before that was ruined as now it was Flowers Academy 3-3 Mushroom High.

It was 2 minutes till full time. Mario has the ball as he passed to Yoshi. Yoshi takes a shot. It was saved for the corner. This was the last play as everyone apart from the keeper got up into the box. Mario delivers Waluigi with a header which is saved by the keeper. Then TOAD WITH A SHOT. OH ITS IN! Toad has just scored a last minute goal. The team are going crazy. They have made history! It's Flowers Academy 3-4 Mushroom High. What a game it has been. Surely they have won it now. There was no time left. It's all over. Mushroom High have beaten Flowers Academy on Flowers ground. The team cheered. The one reason that no other team has won here in so long was the cheerleaders and the crowd. They were able to over come it.

Djhon gave his team a team talk! "Guys. I am buzzing right now. If we can play like that in every game then we can win this cup and advance to the National Cup. Toad part of me wants to give you a high five and another part of me wants me to slap you. He makes us concede a soft goal after all that hard work. Then he scores a first time shot from outside the box which won us the game. When does someone ever do that? Now man of the Match. I have to say Yoshi. He stepped up! The performance that he played at. I'm excited for the next few games. The quarter final is next. It's against this school called Harriers High! Don't know when it is just yet. Well done guys. I wished I played in that Match! You can all go!"

They all went to celebrate this huge victory.
