Mushroom High School 2

Regional Round part 1

This is the next stage of the Track and Field Cup. On this case we have a very interesting tie. Mushroom High, Nintendo High, Flowers Academy and Super Star High are all back at it again against each other. Super Star High seem to be the favourites after most of their team which won last year are here this year.

Daisy and Rosalina got on the coach.

"Can't wait to see the boys run," Daisy said.

"Should be a fun day," Rosalina said.

Mario got in right after Pauline did. "Remember, make sure you keep a two seater so we can make Djhon sit with you?" Mario whispered. Pauline nodded smiling.

"Don't do anything ridiculous ok?" Mario said.

"Of course not I'll be mature. It's not like I'm sat with Wario is it?" Pauline said.

Djhon came in the bus. He saw Mario sat with Waluigi. "I thought you'd save me a seat?"

"Oh yeah I forgot, you could sit behind me tho," Mario said. Djhon went and saw Pauline.

Meh, he thought. She hasn't been as bad as she used to be so I'll guess I can sit with her.

The coach started moving, Mario, Waluigi, Yoshi and Luigi were playing uno. Djhon was listening to his music on his phone. Pauline was the first to start conversation.

"Hi, how come you aren't playing with them?" Pauline asked.

"Don't really fancy it at the moment," Djhon replied. "I want to ask you something. You haven't been with Toadette as much as you used to. What's been happening?"

"Oh, you can't tell anyone I ever told you this," Pauline said.

"Ok sure," Djhon said.

"Actually, I probably shouldn't tell you this now cuz it might out you off but, did you know a girl called Peach?" Pauline asked.

Djhon's blood froze to ice.

"Yeah? She's in jail tho!" Djhon said.

"Yeah, she broke out and I'm suspecting that Toadette broke her out but I'm not too sure," Pauline said.

"What?" Djhon's jaw dropped. "How, it can't happen?"

"I saw it on the news. Djhon I beg you don't tell anyone," Pauline said.

"Ok, I'm sure she has been caught by now though," Djhon said.

"Yeah maybe," Pauline said.

"By the way, I haven't really noticed this until now but you are really cute," Djhon said. Pauline beamed.

"Aw thanks," she said. She felt much happier. The two continued talking. Mario looked through the small gap between the two seats. Pauline winked at him when Djhon started to fall asleep and completely forgot about the conversation about Peach.

They arrived at the track and Coach DK got them warming up. They knew that what laid ahead of them was gonna be tough.

"Alright, Inter girls have their field events first before inter boys, we are about to start. Everyone just chill put here for a bit. Remember guys we need some quality performances out there."

The officials made their welcoming speech. "Welcome everyone to the regional round of the USA track and field cup. I am delighted to have what are some talented athletes here today. I am really excited to see what this event holds for us. On the track, the juniors gave their say and on the field, the inters will start off. The first track event is the 80m hurdles for junior girls and the inter girls have their field events first."

Mushroom highs junior girls went to their field events. They knew this had to be at their best if they wanted a chance of flying through. In the High jump Daisy and Dixie were the only ones who picked a height below 1.50. They both started at 1.47. Dixie fouled and thought about skipping that jump. She didn't though. Daisy cleared it with some ease. Dixie cleared on her second attempt but was going to have to skip a height in order to reach her target height.

In the Triple jump Pauline started off with a jump of 11.10 which wasn't a bad start but knew she could do better. Lucy jumped 10.99 which was her pb but not quite 11m yet. In the long jump Rosalina and Birdo both jumped 5.30 which was an ok start for them. Obviously they need to get better because that's along way off what they jumped in the 1st round. In shot put Amy fouled her first throw. Abbie threw 10.63 but that put her 5th. So you know this was gonna be a tough competition.

In discus Jessie threw 38m. Not even Angel knew how she threw that far. Angel got 33m. That put her 7th though.

In pole vault Mona cleared 2.50 which was a good start.

4 jumps into the high jump. Daisy was having a nightmare as she failed twice. She skipped to 1.59 though. She must clear this. She goes for it and FAILS! Well, how about that. Look at her face. She knows she had messed up. Oh dear she looks deflated. Dixie went and started consoling her.

"Don't worry Daisy, you'll smash the hurdles," Dixie said. Daisy didn't expect it from her. She smiled sadly and went back to Mushroom Highs corner. Dixie was shocked that she did it. She soon started to realise how good she felt after doing it though. She ended the high jump in fine fashion jumping 1.65 with ease. She skipped 1.59 which was a risk but in the end she did well. Pauline jumped 11.50 which was ok for her. She came third though. Lucy did go over 11m this time and she was happy. 11.07 was her distance. In shot put, Amy went WILD! She threw 10.87. The skinniest girl on the shot put throws the second highest score. Abbie throes 10.70 which put her down to 6th. In discus Jessie threw another mad throw of 40m. Angel threw 35.43. To wrap it up. Mona cleared 2.72 in pole vault which was good.

Results came out for the inter girls that they had managed to come 5th on the field events. Now, track was their strong event but they had to be on task. Well see how the boys do next time.

Alright, I didn't want this to be a 2 part chapter but I've been so busy that it's gonna have to be. It's been a while because GCSEs have got me so busy it's crazy. So enjoy this chapter while you can I mean it is still pretty long. I'll try to get more if these updated but I do think that after this story and total Mario Island are done I may have to leave Wattpad. But this will happen probably next year.
