you remain in the hospital for the next week and a half. those days you are visited regularly by sebastian and you frequently dream of Rachel and Madam red. or Angelina Dalles, her true name. From the ordeal, you now bore a long, thick pink scar running from your shoulder to your side and the left side of your face was scraped up, namely your cheek, and your bottom eyelid was scarred. Your eye as a whole was damaged from the impact and concrete, dulling it's normal (color) glint and making you partially blind in one eye. Aside from this, however, you heal well with no other flaws.

the doctors and nurses treated you very well. especially the nurses, who couldn't stop themselves from stroking your still soft fur. even some patients that passed by your room lightened up a little at your friendly gaze. And this cheered you up. Even if I'm more beaten then a throw rug, I STILL lighten others up!

then the day comes where it's time to go home. to face your master once more. and boy, were you nervous. never before have you disobeyed Ciel once since you first came. and now that you did... you go and get yourself brutally hurt and scarred up... even the doctors and nurses were shocked you even survived from a chainsaw wound. after they give you one final bout of petting and praising, the doctor hands you to the butler, advising he'd keep a better eye on you. "ready, my darling?" he asked you in a cooing voice. you nod your head, even though you ACTUALLY weren't sure if you were.

he chuckles as he placed you in the carriage and gave your back a few strokes before shutting the door behind you. the windows were covered, so no one could see inside. and it made it relatively dark in the carriage. "try to relax until you get back to the manor, mistress." you hear sebastian say to you. with that, you hear the whinny of a horse and the movement of the carriage. you sigh as you lay your head down and close your eyes. everything will be okay... you say to yourself. I'm going home now. you let yourself fall asleep to the thudding of hooves and the rocking of the carriage for the time.

an hour later, you awake you the carriage stopping. "we're home, mistress." your stomach jumped as it hit you. you were back at the manor. Already..?! you hear sebastian's footsteps approach your door. okay.. okay.. calm down. sebastian opened your door. maybe he won't scold me. he scoops you up and carries you to the manor.

maybe he'll understand. he will won't he? You shook your head. no he won't.. he's a very strict master, and he'll angry that you, his very obedient, reliable companion denied his orders and interfered with HIS line of work, almost getting KILLED in the process. sebastian walked into the manor, and you inhaled at the comforting scent of home. you sighed in contentment. maybe I can play it off... you think as sebastian makes his way down the hallway. yeah.. maybe I can charm him out of whatever mood he'll be in. sebastian stops at a door and gives it two firm knocks. "young master. I'd like to tell you that Lady (name) is back from recovery." he said. your chest tightened as you hear his not very happy voice. "bring her in at once!" he demanded. you gulped as sebastian opened the door to his study.

stay calm, stay calm, stay calm! you chanted repeatedly in your head as he walked in. there he was. your beloved young master. only...as soon as his eye met yours... the undeniable look of anger took over his face. his hand curled slightly as he stood up from his desk. "bring her here." he said, coldly. please don't bring me there. sebastian complied and brought you over to his desk and sat you in front of him. he was practically undressing you in his icy glare. The same one you received when you first came to the Manor. Only with more anger than disgust. It was bad to the point sebastian actually had the look of concern on his face for you. "master, I'm sure she-" he started but Ciel pointed towards the door. "go now. I want to be alone with (name) for the moment.." he ordered ominously. sebastian actually hesitated, but bowed respectfully as he normally did. "yes, my lord." he said, slightly nervous for you. with that he walked out of the room and shut the door behind him.

and now two you were alone.

you stare at ciel as he glares at you with a scowl that would chill even sebastian to the core. can you really pull this off? just stick to the plan, there's no going back! you scolded yourself. you dilate your eyes best you can, and widen your eyes ever so slightly, to give a "cute curious cat" look. worked all the time when you were a stray. it must work on him to! good evening, master! Miss me? I missed you! "puurrrreow!" you meowed cutely. he narrowed his eye, sneering. "You can drop the act, (name). I'm no fool." he growled. your heart dropped. uh... maybe If I turn it up a bit... you keep up the act, trying to melt him just a little. You droop your ears and give him a hurt look. but sir- "mrreo-" he deepened his glare, making you shrink back. "I said drop the act. that's an order! There is no taking back what I saw you do!" he said, a more harsh voice. you huffed as you lowered your head to the point where your muzzle touched the cold wood. "that was quite a stunt you pulled back there. a stupid one at that. Do you realize how scared you had me?" he angrily began, teeth gritted. you crouched down, not used to being scolded like this. "But.. I.."

"YOU GIT!" he snapped loudly, making you flinch. he started to pace. "not only have you disobeyed me, but you interfered with something that was none of your concern. none once so ever! I told you specifically to stay put! And then you go and JUMP into my business!" he nearly yelled. he then pressed his index finger to your scar, making you flinch and how hard he did. "and now you'll live with the scars of your idiotic decisions!" you have your eyes shut, letting his words flow over you. You feel yourself start to tremble. "Well... do you have anything to say for yourself?"

Finally, you as you straighten yourself up and look up at ciel in the eye. You saw now at how much he was worried. You saw the bag under his eye, lacking of sleep and the residual redness of past crying. I screwed up... you felt smaller than a tick at the moment. But then... a sudden feeling surges through you. A feeling you couldn't place. But, nonetheless, it gave you a fresh urge of pride and confidence flared in your (color) orbs.

"...no regrets."
