There was an arm wrapped around my waist, my legs were intertwined with someone else's and my head was resting on someone's shoulder.

I started slowly drifting out of sleep. Even though the curtains were drawn, light still seeped through the fabric.

The blanket had shifted down to my waist leaving the bare expanse of my back exposed and I, still half unconscious, got closer to the human that was radiating heat next to me as I nuzzled my nose in the crook of his neck.

For a moment it felt like I was still dreaming and I kept holding on to that feeling, a feeling I haven't felt in a long time, not opening my eyes just yet as I was still not fully conscious. It was cuddly and warm and my entire body was relaxed.

I felt some shifting, the soft snores being replaced by soft breathing. I snuck my arm around his waist, pulling him closer to me. My head was pressed against his chest and I could almost hear his heartbeat when he buried his face in my hair.

His hand went up and down my back as I slowly started to move my legs against his, cuddling up against him. "Mornin' babe," a soft, raspy voice whispered in my ear, sounding not that fully conscious as well.

I let out a content sigh as I slowly let go of the dream. My eyes fluttered open and the first thing I saw was the tattoos I was all too familiar with. It took me a few moments to react, mostly because I still hadn't fully woken up.

After the realization hit that me cuddling with someone wasn't a dream, after all, I realized that the person I was cuddling with was Calum.

The moment I completely regained my consciousness I pulled away, my body leaving the heat source. Apparently, Calum hadn't fully woken up until now either, startled from the sudden movement and almost jumping up in the air.

"Sorry, I must've fallen asleep, I'm sorry," I mumbled, looking at my practically naked body. "It's fine," Calum said. "No, it's not. It's against the rules, remember? No sleeping." I said like a machine that would malfunction when it did something it shouldn't do.

"You're right, but it's not that big of a deal," Calum said as he slowly got up out of the bed and handed me my bra and my other clothes that were scattered around the floor.

This was fucking awkward. Calum acted like it was nothing and maybe he was right – maybe it wasn't that big of a deal. For him, at least. He usually let the girls he fucked sleepover, except me. Sleepovers shouldn't be that awkward, but the fact that we were both quite undressed and I just woke up in his arms just didn't feel right.

No – It actually did. It felt alright because it felt like old times, happy times. My body had unconsciously reached for him and we got tangled up together.

I quickly put on my bra before getting out of bed and rushing in my jeans and shirt. Calum also put on some jeans and a sweater. "Let's forget this happened, okay?" he said and I nodded. "See you at soundcheck," I mumbled before grabbing my keycard and rushing off.

That was the most awkward situation I've ever had to endure and I hated myself for falling asleep last night, but I was so exhausted and the tour was slowly wearing me out as well.

I made my way to my own hotel room, trying my best to hold in the tears as I closed the door behind me. I let myself fall on my own bed.

Waking up next to him was the only time I truly felt at peace for the past seven months, but now my heart was aching and my body was cold again.
