Trigger warning
Peter had slept on the top of a building that night, he woke up early and had nearly forgotten the day before he quickly remembered. He got down and walked into a store and bought a bottle of water.

He got out the store starting his water he turned his phone on and seeing missed phone calls and texts from nearly every avenger and Ned who was wondering if he wanted to meet up since he was back from his grandparents.

He soon remembered that Travis lived there and phoned him,

"Peter, what's up? We've not spoke in so long I've missed you."

"I've missed you too. What would you say if I said I was in dc?"

"I'd say we have to meet up," he said in a way Peter could tell that he was smiling.

"Well lucky for you..."

"No fucking way Parker, where about are you I'll meet you."

"Uhhh I don't actually know where I am. I think I'm near Michigan park."

"Oh I'm near there. I'll meet you outside hospital in like 20 minutes? The hospitals a couple blocks away from you."

"Sounds good, I'll be there."

Peter waited walking around the front of the hospital before sitting down because his legs were tired from yesterday.

When he saw him he jumped up and hugged him, "I never thought I'd see you again."

"Yeah neither," he said hugging him back before pulling away and kissing him. "Not thats it's not great seeing you and all but why are you here?"

"I've got no one. I've got no where to go, so I got on a bus until it stopped and I ended up here," Peter hesitated before saying, in a way he wasn't lying he did end up on top of a couple buses getting there.

"What about May and Ned and Mj?" He asked looking into Peter's eyes not seeing the hope and excitement he used to see. "What happened to you Pete? You were the happiest guy I'd ever met, you don't seem it now."

"May's dead," he said with tears in his eyes.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry," he hugged him again. "I should've been there."

"This isn't your fault, it's mine. It's my fault she's dead."

"How? I don't believe that you killed her so how is it your fault?"

"I umm..I done something and she..she was out of town. When she was finished with what she was doing she tried to...tried to get back to...me as fast as she could and got into a car crash," Peter stumbling over his words. "That wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for me."

"You can't blame yourself for that. It's not your fault. Come on, I'm gonna get you something to eat."

They walked to a cafe Peter ordered a waffle and orange juice Travis ordered the same but two instead of one and coffee instead of orange juice.

"Does anyone know your here?"

"No, just you."

"Maybe we should call Ned or somethin...."

"No! He'll just phone Tony and then they'll know where I am and then bring me back and all I do is bring them down. I can't do that anymore, I've got to find my own way."

"Wait, Tony? As in Tony Stark? No way, what the hell Peter how can you run from him."

Tony, Thor, Sam and Vision split up looking all over not knowing where to start. Tony checked the hospitals incase something had happened, nothing had he was glad mostly but still had no idea where to look.

They all knew it'd take a while but they weren't going to give up until they found him. The first day looking for him they didn't find anything it was getting dark and knew they probably wouldn't find him in the dark, they got a motel for the night talking to Bruce and the others. Neither group found anything.

Peter was invited to stay at Travis's for the night, he'd promised him he'd go back to Queens tomorrow. He wasn't going to but it's better to make Travis happy before he never sees him again.

He didn't know whether they were tracking Karen or not so he didn't want to use his suit unless he absolutely had to just incase. That night Peter remembered every reason he fell for Travis.

So many more reason than he thought and he couldn't believe that he'd forgotten. But he also remembered May so much just thinking about him and seeing him reminded him of her, though he wasn't sure why.

••

Peter left as soon as it got light deciding that he'd have to move on find somewhere to go, somewhere to have a life. He was lost in thought before he heard Tony's suit from above him, he thought he must not have seen him that was until Tony got closer and stopped a few feet in front of him.

"Going somewhere," Tony said people started crowding round and taking their phone out, "kid come on, don't do this."

Peter ran through the crowd and into an alley before taking his clothes off while running making sure no one was near he got his spidey suit on putting his mask on and hitting the spider on his chest, pulling the straps on his bag tighter and swinging out of the alley.

He somehow got away from Tony, he was also somehow back in New York. He started swinging from building to building finding his way to Queens and to the top of the skyscraper he had jumped off not to long ago. He got changed out of his spidey suit and lay down watching the afternoon sky.

He kinda wished he went with Tony, maybe things would get better. But at the same time he kinda wished he'd die, he knew things wouldn't get better.

He sat up and took a blade out the box in his bag and rolled his sleeves up and started cutting again and again. Until his phone started ringing, it was Ned he wanted to answer but didn't know if he should, he did.

"Hey, man wha...what's up?" Peter asked trying not to show how broken he was.

"Peter what the hell? Tony Stark just came to my house and told me you ran away. Dude where are you?"

"It doesn't matter, look I've gotta go," Peters voice cracked as the tears started to fall.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm grea..."

"Don't lie Peter."

"No...No I'm not, everything is just..so shit right now. I just wanna go," Peter started crying more.

"You'll be alright, just tell me where you are we can help."

"I...I can't," his voice cracking again, "I'll never be free, I'll never be happy. There's no other way."

"What do you mean?" He started to panic.

"I'm sorry. Look I don't know what I'm gonna do but..know that..this isn't your fault no matter what happens. I love you."

"Peter please you don't need to do this. I love you too," Ned started crying as well before Peter hung up.
